Danny White exploring Neyland Expansion-Volquest

When you manage a major venue, cash is both a liability and expense. The cash operations, think full on bank with tellers and vault along with the mobile crew to providing change and taking deposits from stands are both expensive and risky.
I didn't say it wasn't easier for them. I was responding to a poster that implied no one uses cash anymore.

After years of going to probably four games over there each year, the single game tix prices are just ridiculous. The raping you take from Ticket Master fees is probably the most absurd part of it. We tend to take more beach trips and other travels in the fall now with the kids gone, so I did my own expansion of my man cave. Cheers, Danny White. No problem with the University getting what they can, though.

Livenation/Ticketmaster is under investigation by DOJ for price fixing, fees, monopolistic practices ….I’m sure DOJ would like to hear your thoughts or see examples of your proof of this also!

I’m sure they wouldn’t. I just said their fees are ridiculous to me. If that’s their business model and they can get it, fine. Consumers make choices.

How steep would a third deck have to be to see the field? Might as well just put a transparent floor across the top of the second deck.
Yeah. I don’t see how they could possibly do that. Any addition would have to be a mass renovation. Honestly, they’d probably need to spend a season playing in Nashville and just flatten Neyland and start from scratch.

you could take the overhang roof off the north end and extend the box seating area around and connect to the otherside. Move some high end folks up into the new north endzone boxes and put some more common folk in the areas they vacate.

Yeah. There’s usually a guest login, a private wireless login, and then a hard wired version of that network to process transactions.

I built a bank so I remember there being different sign in options, but ultimately they were all through the same network provider, traveling through the same fiber optics cables. I believe the encryption happened within their local server before going out to the street.
Does it go out a lot during the games or was it one time thing?

This is what I was thinking might happen. Or they could move the Jumbotron to the top of the stadium like the south end and fill that section in with more social deck or seating but not sure how that would work with the roof.

I have experienced fewer experiences with waiting on the electronic transactions since the announced upgrades two seasons ago.
I think the reality is there needs to be more towers in the area for the population. West Town, when I used to work at the Verizon there, had the same problem. Not sure if it still does since the Army has had me gone for about three years now.

Not without demolishing Alumni Gym.

The video board in the north endzone was installed where it is because Alumni is so close it prevents anything being added in that endzone outside the current footprint of Neyland.

I only do one or two home games. The best game experience I’ve had in the last 20 years was last year in Charlotte. Neyland is just getting worse. I don’t see how gutting the bowels of the stadium has done virtually nothing to improve entry/exit, bathroom or concession lines. I literally walk 6 sections over to use the restroom because it’s so bad.

I do over 20 baseball games and usually 8-10 basketball.
