Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Not everyone has a car, not everyone can afford a car, not everyone wants a car, not everyone needs a car, etc.

As many people have said, Susan apparently has made some decisions in her life that apparently she is now living in - there is nothing abnormal of not having a car. Nobody is going to live her life for her.
This Susan lady must be extremely important. She has been the topic of discussion for about six pages?

I pay extra for them to insert with no topical anesthetic or lubrication.

One of the worst mistakes I have ever made in my life was letting them insert that camera in my metus, force it up into my bladder, and then turn it around in circles so the guy could get a good look all around in there. 720 degrees. Now i have to piss almost twice as much as before too because apparently it damaged the sphincter at the bottom of my bladder and it just cant hold the volume of urine that it used to. The gift that keeps on giving...I told yall then, probably more than once...that the tip of that camera was as big around as the end of my pinky finger. Significantly larger in diameter than say a pencil or a catheter. They thought I might have a tumor in there or I would have never agreed to the procedure.

So a guy a that I worked with in his 50s had the same scare and was gonna get his bladder scoped about a year ago. I told him my horror story of course. He went to a much better doctor at a new place in downtown Charlotte...came to work the next day and showed me a video of the camera footage from inside his bladder (on his phone) while smiling happily and telling me it was no big deal. The equipment the Dr. Used at that new facility was brand new and about the diameter of a regular catheter like the ones I had inserted for my back surgery. You know...maybe half the diameter of a drinking straw from McDonald's. I was so pissed off man. So basically I was badly injured, permanently damaged and all that goes along with that simply because the Urologist my primary care doctor referred me to used an old piece of equipment from last century or something when much better devices are readily available. I still bitch about it yearly every time I see my primary once a year and if he EVER so much as makes a smart comment back to me about it I am gonna take his front teeth out right there in his practice. I can afford to catch a charge at this point in my life for beating his azz and fully intend to given the opportunity.

So long story short:

Bladder cancer is quite deadly and has some terrible outcomes/ prognosis rates. IF you have to get scoped, make sure to discuss the exact equipment that will be used and when it was made before agreeing to the procedure. Apparently there is quite a disparity in outcomes based on quality of care and especially which equipment is shoved through the tiny hole in the end of your junk and up into your bladder. Learn from my misfortune and avoid catastrophe.

Haven't been on VN much just had a lot going lately. Still keep up with recruiting and listen to the VQ videos on youtube when I am driving etc though. We have a couple flip targets coming in this weekend. By far the most important thing I have heard lately is that we have a real and significant chance of losing Coach Garner (Dline, probably best in nation) depending on who takes the head coaching job at Auburn. Garner is a Barn alum, and ofc former player...but thats not the significant factor. He loves it here but his whole extended family lives close to Barn and theres some family issues/medical problems of those he loves down there and given the option of a lateral move theres a chance he goes in order to be closer to them. That would be a big loss for CJH...Garner putting 1st rounders in the NFL and the Dline accounting for probably 25% of the people this staff has put in the NFL along with CRGs history of being a great Dline coach and getting all the guys he has into the League over the years is why we land all these great Dline recruits. Its not like if hes gone we immediately suck at what has always been our strong point on that side of the ball...but it will really be a blow to this staff to lose him. Hubbs said that he thinks Hobbs probably gets the job offer if it happens with Coach Chop staying on as DEs coach and primary recruiter FWIW...Hobbs is an assistant in that capacity now but has a long career in college and NFL coaching Dline as well.

This thread been dead the last couple days. Everybody doing OK? Go VOLS

My staffie-mix is getting old. His hips are in bad shape. Lots of difficulty navigating steps. Really going to hate losing him. If I could only choose one dog breed to own for the rest of my life, I'd choose a Staffie.

I pissed off a contractor. Had a garage door out to the new house to give me a quote for door openers for my pole barn, one of the first questions he asked was "how will you be paying?" I told him "with money, I don't do sexual favors". Guy called me an ******* and got into his truck and left.
