President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

The bolded isn't true. Obama's "deportations" were largely catch and release. He even counted self deportations, even if they returned, as "deportations". Similar as how he changed the definition of a mass shooting to be a lower standard and suddenly we had record breaking numbers of mass shootings.

For actual deportations Biden had far more than Obama, and Trump is on pace to pass Biden. This data goes thru August 2025.

You lose all credibility when you try to turn this into something about guns. Trump still hasn't beat Obama or Biden then.

REAL CLEAR POLLING AVERAGE RATINGS

President Donald Trump Job Approval

Approve ....... 42.4%
Disapprove .. 54.7%

- 12.3%

Of the 14 polls currently being factored into the Real Clear Polling Composite Average Ratings, President Donald Trump's Job Approval Rating is in the negative on every single one of them. As a matter of fact, Donald Trump's Net Rating is in the negative by a double digit figure on 9 out of those 14 polls that are currently being weighed into the Real Clear Polling Job Approval Average. None of the 14 polls have Donald Trump's job approval rating above even 46%, while only one of the 14 polls has Donald Trump's job disapproval rating below 50% (Emerson has Trump's job disapproval rating at 49%).

Even just looking at 2 of the 4 most Republican Party friendly polls on Real Clear Polling, (Rasmussen Reports and RMG Research), shows these figures :

President Donald Trump Job Approval

RASMUSSEN REPORTS

Approve .......... 45%
Disapprove ..... 54%

- 9%

RMG RESEARCH

Approve .......... 46%
Disapprove ..... 51%

- 5%

The other two most Republican Party friendly pollsters (Trafalgar and Insider Advantage) are not currently being factored into Donald Trump's Job Approval Real Clear Polling Average Rating.

* Per Real Clear Polling, President Donald Trump is now only 2 average job approval rating percentage points above where Joe Biden typically was after his first year in office.

I posted a link to deportations, how was that me turning into something about guns?

the guns were only referenced to show how Obama manipulated numbers to present something different than reality. sorry that was too complex of a idea for you to process.

Spending problems happen across all income levels. Not just Susan stocking canned vegetables at Walmart for $14/hr with 2 kids and a deadbeat divorced dad.

You arent wrong. Spending is a huge issue from top down.

The last couple of weeks, my better half has led food drive and/or nightly meals for those in our community impacted by shutdown.

With that being said, there's no 2K or 5K vehicles in the parking lot. Many times the only two vehicles in the entire parking lot worth less than 10K is mine and my spouses. There are no 4 year old base level cell phones here.

Do people in with your world view believe people have any personal responsibility for their choices and behaviors or is it always someone else they are reacting to or someone else's choices??

Holy crap, you STILL have that car?
yup. I have better wastes of my money. no car payments is super nice.

I am fully prepared to drive it till the wheels come off. Possibility of kids in the somewhat near future would be the only reason I would replace it willingly. If keeping a third car was a possibility, I would.

I'm the same way. My car's about to be a decade old.

Your basic sentiment of "an adult should take responsibility for their own lot in life" is an astute one. I 100% concur with it.

However, depending on which party the sitting President is in, both sides play the bleeding heart angle to the hilt. From January 20, 2021 until January 20, 2025 ..... if there was a single mother in Jerkwater, Mississippi who couldn't afford to buy a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk at the grocery store, it was invariably Joe Biden's fault according to a majority of posters on the politics forum of VolNation. I read post after post of nothing but "Thanks, Joe!" or "Thanks, Biden!" and they were always in response to the same sort of bleeding heart story that @swampfoxfan just posted.

If you can't afford basic needs, the first person you should hold accountable for that is yourself .... and I also just feel like some of these bleeding heart cases involve people who probably have a 98 inch QLED 4K Smart TV in their living room, with subscriptions to every streaming service from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video with the NBA League Pass and MLB TV, FUBO TV, the Hulu Live TV trio bundle, and HBO Max to Paramount Plus with Showtime, Peacock, and YouTube TV with both the NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL Red Zone included as add-ons .... and of course, every person in their household will always have the latest version of the I-phone (even if they are just 9 years old).

In most cases, it is a matter of choices.

We agree on most of this...of says the last 4 years inflation is a 70 (Biden)/30 (Trump) split....the damage the last 4 years did will not adjust lower without a complete overhaul of the system which won't happen without bloodshed.
