What are you doing to help them?I've got great health insurance. I'm more concerned with the problems of others.
That is evidently a foreign concept to some in the PF.
I picked education as a career change because it had actual value. What are you doing to help them?
Other than posting on VolNation or firing off hot takes online. Everyone sounds high and mighty on a forum but what are you actually doing to make a change?
Same goes for every single “bleeding heart” white woman who feels so bad about illegal immigrants getting detained.
Cindy, if you care that much, move that Tren De Aragua gang member into your guest room, sweetie.
I’m sick of it. Epstein files, healthcare drama, illegal aliens, inflation, you name it, it’s all noise. The two parties just argue nonstop.
We attack the Dems. They attack the Republicans.
And who loses?
The working class. Every. Single. Time.
Our government isn’t broken it’s built this way, Organized Chaos. Designed to keep us distracted with outrage while they drain the life out of the working man until they can replace him with AI and automation.
So here’s the real question:
Instead of just caring, what can we do?
What does caring actually change?
We don’t need more emotion we need real solutions.
If you are an educator, you are making a huge impact on lives. If you love your career, you definitely can make an impact on the future of the country.I picked education as a career change because it had actual value.
I took a pay cut and sacrificed climbing the corporate ladder because I realized that even after my best day at work, I couldn't really pinpoint how I had made anyone's life better. That has never once been the case since I made the change.
I had a large enough positive impact on a certain individual's life today that it will carry me through some disheartening days that will inevitably come.
They were probably the most socialist western state ever so if we want to see if those supposed attributes of socialism are real then the UK's the best example to check. And for the most part they weren't present there. Britain's socialism covered a lot more of the economy than coal and healthcare. Shipbuilding and aerospace for example were nationized in the late 70's.again, I wouldn't claim the post war Brits as a socialist country. so I am not sure why you want me to argue a position I haven't made.
like most countries they definitely did some socialist things, and they are definitely "more" socialist than we are; but I don't think they are a particularly strong example of socialism.
Looking into it, it sounds like the coal mine owners were paid, but below market value, and under the threat of closure if they didn't. so that is a bit mixed, but still pretty socialist.
their health care is more centered on a single payer system, than the government owning everything. I don't think every doctor there is required to work for their health department. but I know they do have various government councils that make medical decisions in some cases. The parents wanting care for their baby in Trumps first term comes to mind. so again, mixed bag, but still pretty socialist.
outside of those two industries I don't know what else they have done. I know there were some issues they had with the EU that made them more socialist, but I haven't seen if they actually revoked those items. IIRC the EU was setting steel prices and production limits.
You gots to have feelz man. What are you doing to help them?

no. we just go about addressing the problem differently.I've got great health insurance. I'm more concerned with the problems of others.

Your accusations are completely inaccurate.no. we just go about addressing the problem differently.
You would rather not address the base issue, likely because its insensitive or something subjective, even though that will perpetrate the problem and expand the victim base. and then give the victims some type of relief/help after the fact.
the rest of us would rather remove the base issue, reducing the victim base -while not removing it- and let it work itself out after the problem is gone.
you believe a one size fits all solution works, and is appropriate. as long as its your side determining the size.
the rest of us would rather just remove the actual barriers to letting the individuals actually work out the problem themselves.
if you believe the best answer to pretty much any problem is the government, you believe one size fits all.Your accusations are completely inaccurate.
I'd love to address the base issues.
I in no way believe one size fits all, I believe pretty much the opposite.
You project a lot of pre-conceived notions.
