I can’t stand him because we all know he isn’t the greatest pitcher to ever live like the media wants people to believe. They did the same thing with Trout. Let these dudes play into their 30s before we start crowning their ass.

Never said he was the greatest. Just that he deserves the Cy this year.

Between Hendon Hooker’s two seasons and Aguilar’s season this year, those QBs averaged roughly 9.5 yards per attempt. In Peyton’s senior season he attempted 477 passes at a rate of only 8.0 yards per attempt in only 12 total games. If he played in this scheme and was hitting the deep ball like those two then he would get approximately 4,500 yards in the regular season. Then you would have to factor in a SEC Championship game and a CFP game to at least have 14 games played minimum. At a rate of 9.5 yards per attempt extrapolated over 557 attempts (14 games) then he would have gotten a shade under 5,300 yards.

Side note: Looking at the AP Polls after Champ Week, we would have been playing as the 3 seed vs the winner of #6 Florida/#11 Penn State instead of against #2 seed Nebraska…
