The "cashless society is evil" people will crucify you, despite them almost certainly getting their "check" via direct deposit and almost certainly paying most of their bills either online or via direct debit.I don't go to that many games. But the last one I went to I walked in grab the bottle out of a cooler paid with my Samsung watch in 15 seconds or less and was on my way. I'm not sure what the bottlenecks were about.
If they're serious about relieving congestion in the concourses, they'll go back to cash only concessions. The concession lines are 10x longer (causing total gridlock in the concourses) than they used to be because the freaking transactions take 10x longer than they used to take with cash. Same with the damn paperless tickets. It isn't a problem of not enough physical space, it is the bottlenecks created by highly inefficient transactions.
I have gone to games when there were 109,000 people there and the concourses were NEVER as gridlocked as they have been the last few seasons of cashless/paperless.

Who here is sending a check every month to..... since it's in the news..... Youtube TV, ESPN, Hulu, Fubo, Sling or whomever?
Get over it or trade your car in for horse and buggy, your stove in for a wood stove, your lights for oil lamps, etc.
It says expanding the north end zone. This reads to me like they are considering adding seats.
Danny White’s letter to Tennessee fans
Vol Nation,
With the Vanderbilt game now sold out, we are up to 27 consecutive sellouts in historic Neyland Stadium. This continues to showcase the incredible strength of the best fans in all of sports!
Interest in the Vols continues to skyrocket with a current season ticket interest list of 26,972. We are actively exploring the viability of expanding the north end zone, which will allow us to welcome even more fans to Rocky Top.
The congestion outside the west gates is still being addressed. We made adjustments throughout the year and have partnered with our campus partners to plan the removal of the Silverstein-Luper building, creating a much larger open space at the bottom of Peyton Manning Pass. We are also aware of the need to tackle the congestion issues in the upper south concourse and are working closely with engineers to find practical solutions.
Thank you for continuing to make the Neyland Effect & we will keep working to enhance the experience for everyone!
There is absolutely zero chance anyone goes back to cash after going cashless. I write checks and use USPS to pay taxes because let them wait to get their money.I don't think I've used cash in about 5 years at least, and even longer that I wrote a check.
How about online ordering and delivery to your seat?
They need to bring back the refreshments folks who pace up and down the stairs. “Cold beer here!”

I find it difficult to believe that cash is quicker than scanning. Maybe it’s the “tip” question? Other than that, it probably has a lot to do with barricading the concessions and restrooms underneath the press boxes. We have left the greater people restricted to fewer options.
The sky is the limitSeriously though - not sure where he is going to find seats - he just removed a bunch of seats.
And if he were to remove the chairbacks - those seats have to sell for what the other bleachers seats sell for so could end up with more folks but less money. Plus those folks that purposely selected those seats because of the chairback (like me) may decide it is not worth trying to fight for a place to sit or stand at a game.
