Thanks. I ended getting a good deal on a pair of tickets in XX3...I've never sat on that side of Neyland and have always wanted to. Also picked up a parking pass for the 11th street parking deck, so it should be easy in from and out to 40...hopefully. I'm not going to tell him...just going to tell him to get in the truck Saturday morning and wait to see how long it takes him to figure it out.

Understand where you are coming from, but I sure hope the team doesn’t feel this way.
what difference does it make? Orange bowl or Music City? The only thing that matters is finally winning in the swamp but I have so much PTSD about that I doubt Ill be able to stomach watching.

Have to admit...I haven't been able to get to a game in a while. Planning to be up there around lunch so there's plenty of time for my son to see different things. I was thinking about taking him to Calhoun's, Gus's, or even the on campus Chick-Fil-A since it would be convenient...but are we looking at a super long wait going that route? If so, we'll probably find a place off 40 before getting to campus. I'd hate to go get lunch and it take so long that we miss the vol walk and other pregame site seeing.

I live about two hours from the stadium. For afternoon or evening games, I usually grab a bite at Dead End BBQ, it’s quick and the food’s great. It takes me around 15 minutes to get to the parking garage I typically use.

After this game, Joey will likely move into the top 6 in UT history for passing yards in a season.

Joey Aguilar 2,737

Personally, I think this is a perfect opportunity to pad his stats by chucking deep balls late with a big lead against the gators and Commodes. Get him past Peyton before the bowl game.

I personally don’t think he’ll throw for 29 million yards Saturday

Think Merklinger needs to get some reps this game
Why?...that dude is gone after this year, giving him any work at all is a waste of what little work there is left thos season...GMac is the one we need to get all the work.

This is just based on what literally everyone is saying...that Merk is gone for sure.

I know Merk has looked absolutely awful in the limited work he has gotten this year...he ain't it.

Merk isn't Boo...by all accounts the guy is still doing things the right way and is prepared to help the team if needed. You absolutely give a guy like that some reps in garbage time so he has more on tape for teams to see when he's in the portal. That's how Heupel keeps the team culture in a good place...showing everyone that he's not going to toss them to the side just because they're not good enough to play meaningful snaps. If they keep working and do what's expected of them, then Heupel will do what's best for them. I wouldn't be surprised if George is the first guy off the bench, but I expect Merk to get several chances to play and probably throw the ball after the game is decided.

You could also argue that keeping guys on the team that didn’t meet expectations and want to leave hurts team chemistry. If players see other players who want to leave and plan to leave play over them, then they could think they are not wanted. And Merk is going to leave. How do you evaluate whether you trust Gmac to be the full time starter if you give half the reps to Merk too? You could hurt the team next year but trying to appease players who are leaving.

If Merk is taking care of business as usual and has only told the coaches that he plans to enter the portal, then how does that hurt team chemistry? If he plays on Saturday, then Heupel has a good reason to put him on the field. That's all that matters anyways.

If AP is saying he’s gone, then likely the coaches and team knows he is too

Agree to disagree.

I think it hurt us not playing Nico more and seeing who he truly was before he took over. And we need to be sure GMac is our guy. It’s the difference between spending $2 mil on a starting QB and 250k for a lower level back up. I’d say that’s important to know than giving reps to a QB who is walking out the door.

So if George plays most of the second half and Merk takes the last 2-3 possessions of the game, then you'd disagree with that? That's basically what I said could happen. If we're blowing them out at halftime, then you can expect to see Merk at some point in the second half. Again, I think Heupel will do what's best for the team.

You’re not gonna find that out from getting more snaps vs NM St.

The only way would be to start him the rest of the season. And that ain’t happening.
