With Ruby we beat NC State.I feel strongly that most people (including Creme) are not taking into consideration the fact that Ruby's dismissal two days before the opening game would almost certainly have an effect on the outcome of that game. A huge event like that would take tolls on everyone, both emotional AND physical. There is no way that her worrying for a solid week about her best friend's future didn't affect Lazaria Spearman, at the very least, but likely several other players and staff as well.
We're lucky we only lost by three, IMO. Hopefully everyone will be able to settle down and be better able to focus by the time we play UCLA. This is a tough time for the players, but I'm confident they'll bounce back.![]()
He/she seems very worried. “The lady doth protesteth too much”Block you? This isn't Facebook. I'd much rather point our the fallacy in your argument.
You didn't answer the question. You've "seen enough," through two games? Why play the rest of the season? Just hand UConn the trophy and cancel the rest of the season.
AgreeThey could have a down year. Anythings possible but I expect once the team absorbs the loss of a key player, they will reestablish team chemistry (if there actually is a problem there) and responsibilities. Eight newcomers can certainly put stress on the team's ability to execute Kim's system. It's obvious that there are players that are out of position or waiting on a teammate to take over. They will get better at execution given reps and experience.
Honestly Rickster, just missing our winning days and I think it’s just finally starting to get to me!Why are you so down now? I remember you being more supportive.
agree with most of this, but I do think we have 2 freshman, mia and civil, that have the possibility to breakout. it’s been 3 games, so I don’t think it’s fair to say they don’t have that ability just yet. both have showed a lot of good things. i think one or both will have a big year for us. both are avg. double figures so far.Honestly Rickster, just missing our winning days and I think it’s just finally starting to get to me!It’s like we can never have the breakout freshmen that everyone else gets these days, we don’t have the fluid offense, the lockdown defense, the X’s and O’s, it’s like we don’t have nice things anymore and it’s just getting frustrating.
Plus I really like to talk **** online with other fanbases and its not fun with they have all the ammunition!I can only fallback on the “We still have 8 championships” schtick for so long!
But seriously, I’ve been positive and supportive all summer, but once I saw the product Kim put on the floor, it looked disappointing, and no in game adjustments was even more disappointing! I’m just going with the flow now and there’s no positive flow for me right now.
don't sleep on Prawl. She was rated 3 spots higher than Civil (who is far and away my favorite)....That said, Prawl may be a slow starter at this level,,,but I predict she will surprise everyone at some pointagree with most of this, but I do think we have 2 freshman, mia and civil, that have the possibility to breakout. it’s been 3 games, so I don’t think it’s fair to say they don’t have that ability just yet. both have showed a lot of good things. i think one or both will have a big year for us. both are avg. double figures so far.
