2026 Lady Vols Recruiting

her boyfriend plays for the buffs (josiah sanders) so she's in boulder a lot

Right. But, this was a women's hoops game played on Thursday, and it was probably an unofficial visit where her tickets were comped. They definitely knew in advance she was going to be there.

Don’t think she’s coming here
That will certainly make Colorado's tiny number of women's basketball fans happy.

1735 was the attendance for their last game.

Maybe they should consider offering tickets as part of plea deals for first offenders to get those figures up.

She may well go to Colorado, but I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the fact that she went to the Colorado game. I imagine that she is often is Boulder given her boyfriend lives there, so going to the WBB there would make sense unless she has entirely written them off. Also, it is possible that the tiny crowd did not further convince her to go there. I wish she could go to one of our games instead. It would directly provide her a contrasting experience.

Definitely a choice cause Colorado is not going to play for a National Championship. Were getting the roster that can do that quickly. UCLA would be another choice that could mean playing for a championship and that seems to be her main three choices.

UCLA? Did you see something recent that indicates they are in her top three? She didn't even visit UCLA officially this Fall. Her official visits in order were: Tennessee, TCU, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Texas.

I had posted the other day that a podcast mentioned she could possibly make visits to UCLA and/or Ohio State. That doesn't seem likely.

If you look at the schools she visited, several don't have much recent post-season success. So, I'd wager that isn't a huge factor to her or why even bother considering Washington and Oregon, and even TCU to a large extent. Only Texas has made a Final Four recently. Only TCU has made an Elite 8 under current coaching staff.

Thanks for the info and link. Can't tell when they last updated that list, but it might have been a while. If they had listed the 6 schools she visited officially (they don't even have Texas listed) with the highest odds and a couple schools she hasn't visited (like UCLA and Ohio State), it would have some merit. They have an additional 15 schools listed which are clearly not in the picture.

Ex baseball coach V was on a podcast talking about NIL and the total mess related. He talked of the agents who called wanting comparison $$ . Difficult to focus on the issues of player development over a four year period. The LVs recently dropped recruiting player because her agent was shopping her for the biggest dollar and the winner was Clemson whose alums so want to compete with SC.

related: in baseball this time of year with free agents, who a player's agent is prime in the discuss. Have any of you who search the web for recruiting ever come across the bigtime agents, especially those who cross over from focusing on the male basketball players.

I think it is the game you have to play, but you can't get everybody. I think the plan has to be pick out the three players or four you want and try to be the biggest NIL bidder. I think other than Edwards who we wanted badly we haven't been the highest bidder. I think were seeing who we can get in high school and then going big with the portal.
The portal players we got this time seem to be coming along better than the freshmen. Wolfenbarger is the only one that hasn't done much. Freshmen that look a long way off are Prawl and Hurst. Mya I think can contribute enough with just more playing time. Mia has been ok and Civil is ready now. The play from Barker, and Robertson hasn't been totally what we wanted, but they seem to be getting better with every game.

I agree as to most of your comment. In my view, Mia is ready. We all can see Jaida was ready from the jump. Give Prawl and Hurst some additional time and they will both contribute to this team. As to the transfers, Janiah is the real deal. Nya will be a solid contributor. Wolfie, in my view, eventually will contribute, hopefully, in a substantial way--give her some additional time. GBO.

Agree on Mia. Civil is a huge athletic positive just needing to get under control and stop rushing when in the lane. The biggest difference from Prawl and Hurst is that they lack speed and quickness and need to shoot it better to justify more minutes. Agree Barker is good offensively and needs more shots. Wolfenbarger is hard to play when she can’t shoot or make free throws.

Hurst strikes me as a Tess type player. That dime to Barker after she caught the deflected pass indicated to me both quick decision making and high bb iq. Just one play, though.
