if you were thinking of playoffs this year given all that was known coming in......you might be slow!

imho this team is overachieving!

But…but…the Playoffs talk was fun. This was a year nobody thought we would make it and we had a shot.

One of the goals are still there. Most of us said 9-3 was acceptable IF Heupel could end one of the big 3 droughts. The swamp is still on the table. I still have faith in JA. Don't waste the opportunity.

We were projected to be a 9-3 or 8-4 type team before the season. I thought 8-4.

We are 6-3 and unless Austin (my personal version of hell) freezes over, we will be 7-3 in 6 days time. Two very winnable games after that.

So we are right on track for what we thought going into the season Not bad but not great

Tell me again why people are upset?

The only reason no one was thinking playoffs in the beginning was because no one knew Joey was going to play as well as he has. Once we saw how good he could be in Huepel's offense, expectations were adjusted, and rightfully so. We were a missed field goal away from beating Georgia. Right now,at worst we should be 7-2 and still in the playoff hunt. So yeah, its disappointment.

It’s funny, though, that expectations were adjusted one way once we saw how good the offense was with Aguilar, but they were never adjusted the other way once we saw how bad the defense was without McCoy, Gibson, and all that we lost off of last year‘s defense.

If this defense had been as good as we thought it would be coming into the season, this is likely a 1 loss team right now. Maybe undefeated.

And yet, as bad as the defense has played, we were still a missed field goal away from beating Georgia and sitting here today at 7-2 instead of 6-3.

I just think its a little disingenuous to sit here now and pretend like we shouldnt be disappointed in not going to the playoffs because of preconceived notions before the season that have since been proven to be wrong.
