The Embassy of Israel in the United Kingdom takes note of the resignations of BBC Director-General Tim Davie and BBC News CEO Deborah Turness. These resignations come in the wake of serious and long-standing concerns about the BBC’s biased and deeply flawed coverage of Israel, particularly during the war against Hamas.

For years, we have repeatedly warned about the BBC’s consistent failures to uphold the standards of accuracy, impartiality, and integrity expected from a public broadcaster. The BBC’s reporting, especially by BBC Arabic, has too often distorted reality, omitted vital context, and provided a platform for antisemitic and extremist narratives. This failure has contributed to public misinformation, hostility towards Israel and Jewish people, and, tragically, to the radicalisation of audiences in the UK and across the Middle East.

We hope that this moment will serve as a turning point. The BBC must seize this opportunity to restore public trust by ensuring fair, factual, and balanced coverage of Israel and the Middle East. Accountability and transparency must replace denial and defensiveness.

We call for full accountability for those responsible for the editorial failings of BBC Arabic and for full reform to ensure that its future reporting meets the standards expected of the BBC.

Israel values the role of a free and responsible press. It is our sincere hope that, under new leadership, the BBC will recommit itself to those principles and rebuild a relationship with its audiences, based on truth, integrity, and respect.

I'm ethnically Jewish myself, but I'm not a member of your Zionist cult. But keep throwing around the "antisemite" card to justify someone getting arrested for bringing chemical weapons to a protest and getting arrested for possession of a weapon and assault. 😅

I don't call other people morons since I'm not a religious person and don't have clergy brainwashing me into believing I'm superior to anyone else. I think you're confused on either the meanings or the spellings of knew and new.

Anyway, I'm still waiting on you to provide any real justification for that lady doing what she did, getting arrested and charged with two counts. Justify it according to the laws of Toronto, Canada and not some verses from religious texts.

Instead of blaming it on Americans in rural Tennessee, why not take issue with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his voters. Netanyahu supported Hamas for many years, and he got reelected time and time again. Why did Netanyahu do that? And why did he keep getting re-elected??

But again, all I said was keep reading. You’ve jumped posted a tweet that appears to show a violent attack by a little old lady. She was arrested for spilling….something on the ground. I suggested you keep reading. You posted a press release and all sorts of thoughts on what I might have meant and then argued against them. And all I’ve continued to say is keep reading. Well that and the serious lack of support for the false equivalency argument being made.

I guess we will never know what happened with the little old lady.

You don’t call people morons….just strawman what you want to think about them and argue against it. It doesn’t take being brainwashed to see though that. I could take a Nazi shot here with the grammar thing but that would be too easy.
And finally, why would I want to justify anything. I wasn’t involved in any way. But the pro Hamas dipshits have posted so much propaganda in this thread I’ve made a habit of searching things out. I just think if you’re going to post something you might want to know more than what the tweet says about it.

Massive arrests for the pro Hamas crowd but the pro Israel counter protesters seem to be able to used their words without violence.
