Game Thread: Lady Vols v UT-Martin, Away, Sun. Nov 9th, 3PM, ESPN+; (Win 72-61)

Good we finally got the win and pulled a way some, but boy for we have a ton to clean up on.

Phew that was embarrassing. A lot to clean up. I’m worried about our next 2 games against Belmont and MTSU. They’ll play their best against us. Belmont played Oklahoma close too.

I think the player that got the most camera time was the cockroach on the camera.I must have seen it at least half a dozen times

Pauldo has been solid all around.

Need her to be even more aggressive and push the pace more. She has a very mature game for a young player.

Glad to win the game will help us a lot cause we came in sleep walking and they made us play hard. Not going to talk about the Refs just let that go not worth making them a part of it.

Repeat of today's performance and either (or both) of those teams can beat us. I assume they will use this as a teaching/ learning moment, so I'll withhold further criticism until the season progresses.

by one point. USC isn’t a bad team. they’ll be a top 20 team the entire year. not much of a difference between the 8-20 ranked teams. a lot of competitive teams this year

I like Nya Robertson coming off the bench as well. She brings a veteran scoring presence when she enters the game. Benefits us to have her come in and give us a different look right away.

69 to 68 NC St choked away the lead less than a minute to go in that one. We choked it way to them when we played.

I was at the game. It was bad. Destinee’s sister played her heart out, along with 44 and the whole gym was filled with Lady Vol fans. Civil’s athleticism is impressive close up

I don’t understand why the staff keeps running ISO action for Zee against smaller players. It almost always ends up in a travel or charge.

I know it isn’t Kim’s style, but a simple post touch in the paint would be nice.

Coach some time ago said something like she'd be ok playing five guards. She believes in and runs her system like any coach.
Frustrating at times for me as a fan when there's no post player offensive or rebounding play, but I jokingly give her credit for converting 6'4 and '5 players into small guards

At least it is a home game we should have a lot more energy. We were really sluggish in that game today for the entire first half.

I’m confused why we’re shooting so many 3s? Coach Kim has made several statements early on this year that she is looking to score inside more this year due to not having as many great 3 point threats. UT Martin’s tallest player is 6’1”. We have a clear size advantage pretty much everywhere. Why the heck are we not playing more inside?

It seemed to me they weren't playing their all-out press until toward the end of the first half.

The freshmen are going to come along pretty quickly. They are obviously talented but need live game reps. They’re still pretty tentative.

Civil is setting herself apart so far. Really like her energy and pace when she is on the floor. She and Coop make a tough combo on the floor together.

Our best lineup is Pauldo, Civil, Cooper, Barker, Spearman.

It sure goes quickly from" we are so lucky to have Queen Kim" to "Geez, whose idea was it to hire this in over her head D2 coach?"

I told everyone in here NC STATE was overrated and would be exposed in the next few weeks, they will tank in the rankings soon enough. So can we please stop acting like we loss to some great team.
