Dude is in his 2nd year and going to playoffs both years. We had an easy path last year and an easier path this year. He’s doing what he needs to do.
He's going to the playoffs because he's at a P4 school and he a powderpuff schedule

He would be 7-5 with an SEC schedule

The sec superiority is played out. It was smoke and mirrors before because there were a couple dominant teams for a few years. I listen to my USCjr friends talk about this all the time. Sec this and sec that. I’m like dude yall have never been good in the sec stop riding off a couple other teams accomplishments. It’s not like USCjr, Kentucky, Miss St or even Tennessee would dominate the ACC or Big 10.

I could see Tennessee dominating the ACC, but your point remains.

Wrong, Heupel plays 5-6 teams ranked in the top 25, top 15 a year and has beaten several

Cig has beaten only one Oregon, and is winless against the rest of the actually good teams

We've played 3 good teams this year and lost to all 3.

And if you're counting games like in 2022 he beat #20 Kentucky you can gtfo, they ended up 7-6.

The SEC is superior to every other conference and it's not even close, top to bottom.

Tennessee is part of the reason the SEC dominates the other conference, Tennessee would go 11-1 against Indiana's schedule at worst
and Tennessee absolutely owns both the Big Ten and the ACC

Seems like we didn't own the last Big 10 game we played.

We own them in the gator bowl and taxslayer bowl for sure. Probably not their best. Last year not so much. We’ve also been clobbered by pac 10, acc, big 12, big 10, mountain west etc in the past as well. Tennessee should be at 1 loss now but nobody snatches defeat from the jaws of victory any better. The UGA game shouldn’t have came down to a fg or at least not without trying to score a td. Scared to run a play to the middle of the field kinda sums it up too. Hell last game we should’ve been up at least 2 tds at the half. Nope. I’ll give us a pass on the bama game even though the play before half was just pitiful. So many words you can use to describe that. I think most would be happy if we could just show improvement. Tackle and cover better. Stop presnap penalties. The only thing we’re consistent at is faking an injury after an extra point.

Cignetti has done a remarkable job at IU, but he brought a QB with him last year and managed to land the best transfer QB this year. The schedules have been laughable, and he has lost two of the three big games he has played so far. Playing Ohio State in the CCG will be very revealing.

Good coaches win wherever they go, and Cignetti is clearly a very good coach. Would be be 11-1, 10-2 with an SEC schedule routinely? Highly doubtful - even Smart is going to have a hard time doing that moving forward.

Moving the goalposts. You said:

So what big game has Heupel for a title? What is "anything else" your wiggle room that you can move the goalposts more?
He won a AAC title, and several big games which is what i said...
He won against Bama (twice), Oklahoma, LSU, Florida (twice), a 10 win UK team, Pittsburgh, Clemson, Cincinnati at Gameday, FAU and Kiffin, Texas A&M, Iowa

Cig has beaten Oregon and a Illinois team that will be 7-5
