As to Banks, I've said for years that he's unqualified to coach at this level. The only way he looks good is when he's got a dominant DL that's extremely deep. For him to succeed he has to get consistent pressure rushing 4. Otherwise his scheme (or lack of) is exposed. I made the comment that if he stays it will cost Heupel his job. I still believe that.

In summary, you have to ask the question, do you think the Vols are on an upward trajectory, staying about the same, or downward? It's hard for me to make an argument that the trajectory is upward. That means we are either maintaining or downward. It's my opinion that we are about the same. I think we are a perennial 8,9 win team with an occasional 10 win season. If folks think that's ok, that's fine. I dont expect a national championship every year. I do think we should expect to be in the top 1/3 of the conference most every year. With an expanded playoff that means you are in the playoffs most every year. If that makes me unrealistic then guilty as charged.

I agree with you. I think next year has the looks of another 8-9 win season, but it depends on what we put together in the portal.

But with the core of this year's freshmen and sophomores to go with an older GMac and Brandon, the following two seasons will be playoff caliber.

At this point I would support an upgrade at DC. I think Banks did a phenomenal job last year but I've changed my tune in that I don't see him being able to do more with less in years he has less to work with. Whereas Heupel is capable of that on the offensive side. So yes, I'd make the change at DC (I hear Brent Pry is available).

Thanks, and another of my gripes is placing a coach like Heupel in a vacuum. There's no profession where in your first 5 years on the job you max out your ability to do that job, imo. Coaches are constantly growing, too. And Heupel has demonstrated growth and willingness to change schemes and styles based on personnel and the league he's in.

But also, we aren't embarassing anymore (on OR off the field) and I just want to appreciate that for a few more years. Give him more time to grow.

Honestly, the way Penn State handled James Franklin is a great example. They gave him plenty of time to win it all. He put together some great teams and restored the reputation of the school in a lot of ways. But eventually it was plain to see he wouldn't get over the hump. Heupel deserves that chance in MY opinion but I hope it's a different outcome. If its not, the program will be in an incredible place to bring in the best to take it from there instead of being perpetually unstable like LSU or Florida.

I'm kinda confused about this. Just YouTubeTV?? How many people actually have that?

I'm only ever affected when they hold out against DirecTV. I mooch off my parents' account then got Disney+ to get ESPN+ games.

Last night Single A Dynasty and favorite to win it all this year South Pittsburgh played O-10 Red Boiling Springs in the first round of the playoffs. The reason RBS made playoffs is because the top four teams in a region make the playoffs and there is only four teams in the region they play in.

I switched from DirecTV to YTTV because of the Disney dispute last year and now this. I'll wait until YTTV finishes this dispute and watch whatever Tennessee games link enki posts on here

Yeah those fans should shut up and pay the additional 10% talent fee and increase in ticket prices and be happy. You can’t question anything and be happy you can even watch football. How dare fans ever open their mouth. Just give money, spend money, and shut up. Those damn fans!

Get the day pass from Sling. $5 for the day to watch whatever games on ESPN/ABC that you want. I remember last week people were complaining that the streaming sucked. Sling must have beefed up their servers because it’s been smooth sailing for me so far today.
