Umm... What does an offer really mean? Is it a guaranteed spot? Or more of just a "let's keep talking." How often does a school offer a player and then later back off, maybe not formally withdrawing an offer, but letting the player know they may not be a good fit or signing someone else into take slot?

I'm just not sure that "Kim offered to 9 of the top 10 players" means that she will still be confirming to them that they are wanted to play her system as signing date draws nigh.

There is definitely a definition of “commitable” that changes as the roster changes due to other commitments.

Listened to a podcast yesterday where the speaker stated that even though Texas was her 6th official visit, there could still be visits taken to UCLA and/or Ohio State.

As for Texas, Crittendon did start following a couple of more Longhorn players on Sunday/Monday, as well as Coach Schaefer and TexasWBB accounts on Instagram. Following the players is typical but starting to follow Vic (who is not at all active on IG) and the TexasWBB account this late in the process is a bit unexpected and unusual to me; not that I'm predicting she ends up Texas, but what's the point of following those two IG accounts if you are planning to sign with a different school next week? Maybe she will be waiting until the Spring to make her choice.

Well, actually... in the past, CKC has said some things differently. Not all excellent players want to play fast, want to start as a freshman, want to be coached the way Kim coaches, or want to embrace our team culture. She's also said that just because a player may not be ranked high doesn't mean that she isn't exactly the player she wants.

I think offers from top programs is more of a "we like what we see--but can we get to know you better?" invitation.
And you can be sure competing schools would eagerly feed our staff misinformation that "locals who know say ____ really doesn't fit your culture."

LOL--can you picture when Conor is old enough to date, the kind of experienced scrutiny his potential girlfriends are gonna face???

I agree I think we've done well and if Crittendon decides for us were in the top three maybe even one.

Is there any further word on the Okeke girl and where she could be goin? Last thing I read she was between Tenn and UCONN? or at least those were the top 2, if she chooses college over pro ball overseas?

November 12th just a few days away when players can officially sign. We got two terrific players which is a great comeback after signing five. We could still get another player possibly two which would if it happened with the two players in question would make us the top recruiting school in the last two years. Signing ends on November 19th so just a week after that you can't sign until middle of April. Certainly would like to add Crittendon in the early signing period looks like she may be willing to wait until April to make a decision.

she will be announcing after the 12th and before the 19th
