Super tangential, but I wonder if we could amend the constitution to limit congressional salaries to the median income, prohibit or even just silo outside income to a blind trust that pays at the end of their last term in office, and then require them to do their own shopping? You can still use that hack with those, but it takes longer.
Publix has a dedicated "buy one get x free" section on Instacart. Whoever decided to do that is an inventory management genius.
Actually he has. There are several things checked and a couple things pending in our tracking threadLol he ain't done sh!t outside of helping other countries. It's all smoke and mirrors here.
I wasn't going to vote for Kamala purely based on my own misogyny and low grade racism. I thought Trump would actually put America first. Then he raised taxes (tariffs).
Neither party has a plan. They need to get together and hammer one out. If they refuse to do that, I have a suggestion that would spur them on. Ban getting health insurance from your employer. If you make everyone buy it like we do car and house insurance this would be addressed because then Congressmen would have to give up their cushy plans and they’d have to buy it like the rest of us do. Only then would they truly see what we’re going through
My plan would include an option to buy into Medicare, HSAs available for everyone and a requirement that all plans must cover you in all 50 states
median income of their state, paid by the state. I would remove any and all benefits they get. No security, no healthcare, nothing.Super tangential, but I wonder if we could amend the constitution to limit congressional salaries to the median income, prohibit or even just silo outside income to a blind trust that pays at the end of their last term in office, and then require them to do their own shopping?
Correct because our Congress sucks. They don’t accomplish anything worthwhile. Back in the day when we had folks work together to solve our nation’s problems like Tip O’Neill, Patrick Moynihan, Bob Dole, Orrin Hatch, and Dan Rostenkoski, things got done. They worked across the aisle and solved problemsThere is no plan and never will be a plan, other than to ride the baby to the end.

Which sucks. Everyone has (had? I don't know yet, it'll depend on how damn radical these parties get) a chance to strike gold but it's becoming harder and harder to do so, and some give up. Others are limited, with what you said, the environment around them, or conditions they were born with.I don't disagree but I think fundamental struggles we're seeing go beyond SNAP recipients.
Lower class is feeling the environment hard.
We just need healthcare reform. Forget the courts. Keep lawyers out of this. There’s way too many investigations and indictments for too few prosecutions. UnproductiveThey're not going to "fix" the problem because nobody want to identify and do something about the problem which would required mass indictments, mass criminal prosecutions, mass confiscations, and probably an immediate reset of the system.
There is nobody on this planet that is going to solve "the problem".
