This is yet another part of the cycle when you know your coach is getting fired in a year. The pumpers first complain about fictional people calling for his immediate firing, then they start demanding an extension for a disappointing performance.
“After what he took over and what he’s managed to do, I’d give him a lifetime contract” has been uttered about Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt after failures. Now Heupel is getting similar faux shows of confidence.

I don't think Danny White will sign any kind of extension this year.
I mean if the team just totally goes off the rails and tanks the last three games, or even goes 1-2, do you really want an extension?
He's here another 5 years until 2030 with a 37.5 million buyout that drops to 28 million in December 2027.
I don't think he's done anything to warrant an extension beyond those terms yet.
I get it, people want to sign him to an extension to keep his name out of the rumor mill of potential candidates at other schools.
But let's be smart about this...you don't give a guy raise just for the sake of giving him a raise.

He hasn’t worked a miracle. Even in his best season, he gave up 63 to South Carolina. Some of you think chewing gum and walking at the same time makes you a saint.FAFO if you don’t sign him to an extension. I don’t care what happens the rest of this season.
You don’t think the miracle he’s worked since taking over this dumpster fire of a program warrants protecting him in the most remarkable coaching vacancies environment of our lifetime?
I don’t get some of you.

Lol, you are indeed miserable, and a troll. This is yet another part of the cycle when you know your coach is getting fired in a year. The pumpers first complain about fictional people calling for his immediate firing, then they start demanding an extension for a disappointing performance.

No it wasn’t a miracle. That South Carolina game was maybe the worst loss in program history. You probably think not shítting your pants by the end of the day is a miracle. You do realize the state of the program when took it over? Mass exodus of transfers and NCAA investigation. In spite of taking over a job literally no big time coach wanted, Heup won 11 games in year 2. That’s not working a miracle? You are a troll and not even a particularly good one. You should find a new hobby that you are actually good at because this ain't it![]()

Only $8 million for CJH to leave. You want to seriously roll the dice in this environment with all these openings?
