Well you might want to see who platforms for your party when talking about conservatives platform. Next you will tell me is that you never heard of JoJo from Jersey or Brooklyn Dad
its an interesting discussion I had with my fiance'.
most of the younger demographics, who will naturally lean left, aren't going to follow the same type "influencer" that appeals to the more right leaning groups.
"generationally" it breaks down, note these are just labels we generated so are definitely not 100% accurate.
the younger generation prefers the really short form content, tiktok, youtube shorts, whatever.
the next generation (millenial and up) prefers the "irregular" or "off platform" content found in podcasts, or even the Charlie Kirk type of engagement.
the next generation liked the "On platform" type, think the Kimmels and Colberts.
the older generations preferred the "network" personalities. news casters, and journalists.
the network types are somewhat evenly split.
the on platforms type are left leaning.
the irregular types are more right leaning
the "influencer" group that is largely being talked about breaks down politically as well. Right leaning influencers tend to have more followers, the right leaning groups tend to consume less of those media, so are going to gravitate towards a few common sources. meanwhile the left leaning tend to spend more time on media and thus will spread their "follows" out. so it becomes a bit of quality vs quantity thing.
the type of influencer who yells "6-7" and is up to date with the fads isn't going to be popular amongst a right leaning group of any age. but they also aren't the type that will generate enough content individually to drive a large following.
