Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I operate under the assumption the rest of y'all are just "casual" fans. I cry after every loss like my heart was just ripped from my chest. I'm not convinced the rest of you take it as seriously as I do.

But does a loss also send you over a cliff? And, if so, do you drag Yukon Cornelius down with you?

This dude still pumps orange........ VFL status confirmed. He's one of us, in the league.

Handled that interview as well as anyone could.
I agree. VFL.

This is just me talking out of school... (I think that's the old saying.) but I think in a perfect world, Tony would love to win the World Series... Retire as a legend at managing... Do network commentary and maybe a podcast or some MLB network stuff.

I know Tony clearly understood the competitiveness of SEC baseball but I'm not sure he understood why his players got so much hate from around the conference. I think that really bothered him.

I think NIL really bothered him.

Several have posted this so I gotta ask: that good or bad? Is the current person legit and we don’t want to lose him or are we good with him moving on (or maybe even getting promoted to a position coach)?
Apparently vq alluded to or said something to the effect that big money is stepping in to force changes on the staff. Idk how true, this is all hearsay but that’s what I heard

The lack of urgency this drive absolutely infuriated me. We had to have scored BEFORE the 2 minute timeout and just had no urgency. Sorry for beating a dead horse here but man this could have completely changed the outcome of the game if we had more urgency this drive

How about turnovers, lets worry about preventing those & penalties.

More than anything I was us to concentrate on playing defense. Had D done anything in final 5 minutes, we tie.

Anyway, water under the beidge.

Kinda crazy to think about.

And why I kind of hate how the new playoffs now make it seem like the season is over because we have 3 losses. I finally listened to some Vols content like the 2 minute drill and Heupels PC from yesterday and their is talk about how to prevent the team from quitting and do we do a youth movement.

Like, seriously? We can still have a ten win season and play two of our biggest rivals in the next few weeks. And we’re talking like we’re a 3 win team.

It’s ridiculous

Happy Thursday

November 6, 2025:
To those who feel like you are carrying the world on your shoulders, step back and take an honest look at what truly belongs to you. Let go of the burdens that were never meant for your hands, and align yourself with God’s order so that your efforts match what He has actually called you to do. Give yourself permission to pause, rest, and recover.

Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

From Wiki:

Mississippi University for Women (MUW or "The W") is a coeducational public university in Columbus, Mississippi. It was formerly named the "Industrial Institute and College for the Education of White Girls" and later the "Mississippi State College for Women". Men have been admitted to MUW since 1982 and as of 2022 made up 23 percent of the student body.

It seems like another name change would be in order.
They should've left it the original name.

True Vols cry after games like Alabubba 22, I saw more grown men crying (myself included) after that game than on 9/11and it wasn't the cigar smoke. After a loss a Vol 1. gets sick 2. throws up 3. drinks to excess. Rinse and repeat.
