1. According to the link provided ($96 billion in taxes) it states that $59.4 billion was paid in federal taxes. How is this calculated since an illegal immigrant would not have a SSN or an ITIN? Would these be paid through a stolen SSN?

2. $37.3 billion in taxes paid to local and state governments. The study says that undocumented immigrants are charged higher local and state taxes. When these undocumented immigrants go to the grocery stores are they asked if they’re illegal? There has to be a way for a cashier to input an undocumented tax fee?

2. "State and local taxes' =/= sales tax alone, and there's nothing that says they pay more taxes when they shop. What it does say is that they pay a higher tax rates than the top 1% in the ster because of the fact that most don't qualify for deductions on income tax, and they pay a significant amount of their taxes in the form of sales and excise tax.

Bigger concern is we are talking about $9,000 of taxes per illegal immigrant.

20% of illegals are under 18 or over 65 so it's now 11K per working age illegal

This assumes 100% work

This assumes 0% are getting cash

All the math here backs into every single illegal makes roughly 45-50K in reportable income per year

Numbers arent adding up at all. Of course, that is par for the course for a left thinktank like ITEP. Hell, Ive been the part of two groups that have called them out on their numbers to the point where they had to revise or clarify...

Not ignoring that. That was another number that was provided. The 96B was just direct tax revenue from them...

I just dont see how there was 96B of income, payroll, sales, and property taxes.

Somebody who crosses the border and invokes asylum is commonly referred to as an “illegal immigrant” due to the cable newsifiction of the word. But while their claim is pending, they can obtain right to work paperwork and their wages are taxed.
