The Atlanta Braves

Colorado? Seriously?
You asked: "What makes you believe they won't win under Weiss?"

I gave you the one data point that shows the answer to that question. He is 283–365 for a .437 win %. There are other reasons but those are the hard numbers.

Perhaps you should rephrase your question?

Perhaps you should give the long list of successful Colorado managers. It shouldn't take long

I think you answered your own question. There really haven't been any super successful managers from Colorado. So why should we expect Weiss to be any different?

A little, but it’s hard to label a guy that loses in dysfunctional places like Pittsburgh, Miami, Colorado etc.
Oh, I agree. However, currently I think we are also dysfunctional so it doesn't give me any more confidence that he could win here either.

The Braves aren't dysfunctional on anything approaching the level of Colorado.

Even if Weiss had been really successful in Colorado, I wouldn't think he was anywhere close to the best choice for manager in Atlanta.

No doubt. Few franchises are.

I actually don't care about the record. AJ Hinch was considered a disaster in Arizona and now he's the best manager in baseball.

I like what I heard from the press conference from Walt and his answers seemed genuine. But it's hard to believe when he was the manager's bench coach for 8 years and 90% of the time the decision was based on "gut"

One thing I like is that he spent a lot of years playing for Tony LaRussa. I think LaRussa may be the first manager I ever saw looking at a laptop in the dugout.

I get not liking the hire, but honestly, he’s a baseball manager. Be relatable in the clubhouse, have your players backs, consult with people on the lineup and pitching and don’t get caught picking your nose in the dugout.

Tbh, my main issue is that it gives the appearance of us just phoning it and going with what is comfortable/easy instead of making the actual best hire...and it took us a month to do that? That is just on top of his record.
Could he succeed? Sure and I certainly hope he does but I simply think its unlikely.
