The Cowboys traded a 7th round pick to the Bengals for LB Logan Wilson. That was what was announced this morning.Jerry Jones said he made a trade before deadline but is waiting to announce it until tomorrow.
The Titans schedule a press conference with Borganzi for tomorrow. Cowboys want interior D line. I think we just traded Simmons or Sweat....... With a pick and player in package. They play tonight, I think that's why they scheduled press conference for tomorrow.
The Colts aren't playing . ..
Yeah, I’m really not buying that Jones has permanently turned a corner. He looked atrocious versus Pittsburgh on Sunday, with garbage time stats making it look better than it actually was, and has everyone forgotten that he also had a season like this with NY, everyone said he “finally figured it out”, and then he followed it up with two years of sucking?Imagine being the Colts and pushing in all your chips based off half a season of Daniel Jones....
If Jones reverts back to sucking (which is super likely, btw) they will have set themselves back a minimum of 5 years.
It's still too early to talk about SOS. And the Saints and Titans will play each other to settle that spot.Unless the Jets end up with the #2 overall pick. Then the Jets don't have to move diddly squat and just have an extra first and second round pick to use.
The only way the Titans end up in any position to potentially benefit from that is if the Saints are between TEN and the Jets in the draft order. And thanks to the Titans unfortunately somehow having the second highest SOS at the moment, there's no winning any same-record tiebreakers with either of the other two (TEN's SOS is .562 vs NO's .510 and NYJ's .507). At the current moment, the Titans would need - at season's end - for the Saints' record to be a win better than Tennessee's and the Jets record to also be another win than that.
It's really not when the differential is that much. We're halfway through the season; the closer ones will shift around but a .5-.6 is a very large margin that isn't going to fully close (or reverse) all the way. It's still too early to talk about SOS. And the Saints and Titans will play each other to settle that spot.
If you're serious about the future with holes everywhere, word is Simmons was target number 1 and he was backup. I'd take that. You theoretically get two starting caliber players for one guy who will be declining or retiring by the time you can build something respectable. With the Jets getting a 1st and a 2nd for Quinnen Williams, I don't see why the Titans couldn't have gotten similar or better for Simmons.

But I am not against keeping Simmons either, both paths make sense.
