old man yells at clouds moment incoming.

concert prices have gotten ridiculous. I used to go to several every year, but its just gotten so dang expensive. I feel like even bands I really like aren't worth the money.

Florence and the Machine is one of my favorite bands and she is coming to Atlanta next year and wants 300 to get in the door. we are going to wait to see if the price drops, if not we just won't go. I have seen her twice before, so its not like I have any great reason.

Paul Macartney is in town and the cheap seats there are 400. that makes sense because this is his last tour and he was a Beatle as well as a great artist on his own.

we saw CAAMP this year and that cost 150 per general admissions.

I just hate that you can't really just have a weekend to fill, hear about some decent act is in town, pick up some tickets, and go. you have to prep and save. I can't help but think what else I could do with 300 or 600, for 2. takes the fun out of it.
I lived with 3 friends in a rental house in Antioch when I worked on the pipeline for a little bit. One friend was a big guy who used to do security at events, so he had his old shirts. We went to the Outlaws, Foghat concert at the Starwood rockin oursecurity shirts..Got busted twice and ejected..lol

Yeah, I generally avoid concerts for one band. Way more bang for your buck with festivals and smaller acts/venues.

I am a galaxy/ Samsung dude, too. Yeah you gotta close out dem browsers, son.

As a fellow man of culture and exquisite taste...i have a question for you then.

We have 3 "buttons tabs " or whatever they are always present at the bottom of the screen right? Theyre not physical buttons but software. The one on the right means Back if you swipe it up, the one in the center means Home Screen if swiped, and the one on the left takes you to a black background where you can scroll side to side and see a screenshot of all the Apps you have open like youtube or the camera or VN etc...so you can switch back and forth between open screens on different apps quickly which is great for copy/paste, adding a photo to VN etc. At the bottom of that black screen where it shows all your open apps screenshots there is only 1 button. It says "close all" and will close all the different apps you have open. This button is what I have always used thinking it really was "closing all" the stuff i had open. Apparently its not if i had over 5000 tabs open at the same time. Chrome has not been closing all the tabs so i need to figure out how to do that manually on this phone at least until i get a new Galaxy ? Hope this makes sense. Your phone is so many gens away from mine that you might not remember...

lets pool our money and buy Pizza Hut. Free pizza!

“The Pizza Hut team has been working hard to address business and category challenges; however, Pizza Hut’s performance indicates the need to take additional action to help the brand realize its full value, which may be better executed outside of Yum! Brands,” Yum CEO Chris Turner said in a statement.

The primary business challenge for Pizza Hut is to figure out how to make at least a semi-edible product.

With my new phone (Android v16 I think), I opened the browser one day and realized there were a bunch of open tabs. What's happening now is that when you close the browser, open tabs don't close - unless you change the settings to make them close when you close the browser. It's obvious on a computer because you see the tabs that you don't see on the phone. I use Brave which is a variant of Chrome, and have never found a setting on the phone that says something like "close open tabs on exit"; the computer has several options for dealing with open tabs on exit.

In the Brave version on the phone at the bottom of the browser there's a square with a number displaying how many tabs are currently open - at least in Brave and on this phone. If you tap there, it shows open tabs and at the bottom the three stacked dots for menu options. Press on that and it opens up options to open new tabs (probably not your friend) and one that says "Close all tabs"; much easier than deleting several hundred or thousand tabs individually.

What I didn't realize was that the news feed was opening stories in Brave (probably Chrome on most Android devices), so I knew it kept opening tabs. Programmers keep changing stuff - you get used to things one way and some Gen Whatever comes along and it's a new day on how stuff works. I liked the good old days when things were hardware and kids couldn't diddle with how it worked. Of course, hardware option opens the door for ND40 to have to find new ways to operate with fewer available digits. Just remember the kiddies who mess with your tech probably have no idea how to do something simple and important like change a tire.

Going back to a topic from several days ago, I moved a Chester last week, but his drawers didn't fit so they have to come over on the next trip. And just so Hog can gloat, there are some big short comings when it comes to hauling stuff in a Maverick. I've been OK with the length and width generally; but since putting a folding hard cover on the bed, it's obvious that a lot of stuff is simply higher than 20 inches. And that includes Chester's drawers.

Bladder cancer. They got it the first time in 2016, but it has a high rate of reoccurrance.

Really sorry that this is happening to you, but you have always seemed like the kind of guy to kick it's butt. All the best, and, please, let us know how you are doing. You know you always have a got of guys pulling for you ... now our connections to higher powers may be a bit tenuous, but we try.

I gotta run but I'll come back later and see if I can help out.

IDK about the Atlanta area but when tickets go on sale for concert in Nashville they’re sold out within minutes. No way that it’s actually people buying up all the tickets that quickly.
same down here. its all just scalpers, who probably use bots.

I really think Ticketmaster needs to start reclaiming tickets instead of allowing resale. because people are just making themselves middle men adding cost with no added features or functions.

we were a Shakeys family as well..make it in front of you

The best meal deal I ever found in Tokyo was actually a Shakeys lunch buffet. Very welcome after a few weeks away from American food. I spent a few weekends away from the job at the Kyoto Holiday Inn just because they had a KFC, a Dunkin Donuts, and a McDonalds. The sight seeing and mostly everything else was great in Japan, but familiar food every now and then was a delicacy.

I had a brief job selling Miura steam generators or boilers, which are Japanese. Thought it might be similar to compressor sales, but my heart wasnt in it, so I quit and moved to Houston.

Anyways, they offered free trip to Japan if you met goal, and I was on track, but resigned before getting it.
