The Atlanta Braves

If there is any glimmer of hope, it's that the manager position isn't nearly as important to success in baseball as HC is to football. Ozzie Guillen managed a WS team for crying out loud. And as terrible as Snit was, he also won a WS.

Hopefully Weiss has been taking notes on what not to do, or we hire a competent bench coach to help him make those decisions.
This is true. But what’s so disappointing is this was our opportunity to shift our philosophy away from being dinosaur.

I have a hard time imagining he’s eligible for a qualifying offer
He indeed is.

"The next step in the process is the Qualifying Offer ($22 million for 2026), which the Cubs very well may extend to Imanaga by Thursday. If he accepts, hey, that’s not at all a bad one-year deal for a pitcher of Imanaga’s caliber. If he declines, the Cubs can still negotiate with him throughout the offseason on a deal that makes more sense for both sides – or, if he signs elsewhere, they could get an extra draft pick after the second round next year."

It is not. A manager probably is an overall 10 game swing (5 losses to 5 wins). I don’t really care about that. What I am concerned about is the postseason stuff. That he knows Bryce Elder can’t face Harper a second time. That he isn’t clinching his buttcheeks the first run scored in the postseason game. That he’s not trying to bunt. That he understands the value of baserunners in the postseason

Is the bad postseason managing a function of Snit or a function of the FO telling him what to do?

It's hilarious that I have never really seen an individual or player with the Braves talk about how important Weiss has been or how vital he has been or how helpful he has been for 7 years, then all of a sudden him and Ronald are best buddies!
How much beer money did they offer Chipper for his X posts praising him?🤔🤷‍♂️
