Jermod McCoy Possible Return Rumors.

I wonder if now that we will not be in the playoffs if McCoy and his handlers will just tell him to take it easy until the draft. I would love to have him in the swamp but I could see that happening.

Even if he does play the last 2 games. He will opt out of the bowl game just like everyone else will.
So. He would benefit if he played, just to show the NFL that is has recovered from his surgery. He would also be a big boost to our defensive secondary, especially against Florida and Vandy. If he is cleared to play and decides not to play, his signing bonus would take a big hit.

He may as well sit out now. If he came back it would not be in "midseason form". I wouldn't use him unless it was backup duty. He's probably gone anyway so use the time to coach up the freshmen. Redman and Hood are going to be good. They just need more experience and a off-season in the training room.

Hood will probably go pro

It doesn't matter if he plays or not at this point. Season is a bust.
No. This season is not a bust. Going in, we all knew this was a rebuilding year (except those buffoons who hoped to actually win something this year). We have one of the youngest teams in the country. We got us a new qb in the summer and our coach is only in year 5 of the most massive rebuild in SEC history. 6 wins so far with the potential for 9 if we win out is basically a miracle of a job by CJH. Especially when you consider the program took over. ...

Here’s how this is supposed to go: Fans hope hurt player returns asap. Player works hard to return no matter what agents say, or what happens with CFP etc. He’s doing his part. He’s practiced a little more each week. He had a setback pre-Arkansas, but put on pads and hit last week and this week. He needs to run, cut and contact without feedback swelling from his injury. When that happens, they’ll work him in at a pace that fits.

McCoy needs to focus on himself. There is not enough season left to be able to get into game shape. We need to stop looking for his return and work on improving the players that we have. This way, he gets to make an unrushed recovery and we get more experience to the ones playing next year.

Kid's still young, and that was a heck of an injury. Not worth the risk this year at all for any reason.

I disagree. Beating Florida in the Swamp for the first time in twenty years would be a nice monkey to get off of our backs. Knocking Vanderbilt out of the CFB in three weeks would be pretty satisfying a well—-also a 10-3 finish would be a nice cherry on the sundae. You gotta finish strong, there’s a big difference from a national standpoint between finishing 9-3/10-3 or 7-5/7-6. Just my opinion.

McCoy is not coming back this year, and depends on how high he may go in the draft if he comes back next year.
