Hope it’s DrinkI posted this in the basketball forum but I meant to post it here. I don't pay enough attention.
Florida just lost to Arizona in basketball and then someone just dropped this news on their 247 board:
“The two names that I'm hearing the most about over the last few days are Jeff Brohm and Eli Drinkwitz. Brohm is a name that the high school coaches around the state really like and they believe he's someone that would win at Florida.
Based off of some recent talks, I think it's fair to say that there's a good chance Kiffin stays at Ole Miss.“

But they won't! I tried to explain just how much support Drink is getting at Mizzou right now the other day, but folks don't want to hear that Mizzou is going to be competitive at this level for a long time. I tried to illustrate how much the Walton family is supporting that program and people don't believe me. That would be like a Mizzou fan saying that Jimmy Haslam doesn't support Spyre because the donations aren't public.I always thought they would end up with Dorkowitz…but that is just a guess.

Kiffin would only leave Ole Miss for LSU and then their governor opened his mouth. Kiffin isn’t leaving OM.I posted this in the basketball forum but I meant to post it here. I don't pay enough attention.

he will. He's an alum and he's getting everything he needs to win there. I think most fans fail to realize that, because the climate in college football is such that the teams who buy the best players have the most success, coaches having success are more reticent than every before to leave those programs. ESPECIALLY when there's usually some sort of enormous guaranteed buyout if they were to fail.I like Brohm. Hope he stays at Louisville. His family is basically royalty in that city and for that school.
I don't think that's the case, but it's obvious this team has some very young players and they are raw and inexperienced playing with each other.so the fans hate the basketball team too after 1 game? thats what ive read the last page or so
goodness
I'm not convinced he would. I did hear that narrative thrown out there, but I think it was just to cover for the fact Kiffin never had any interest in that job.Kiffin would only leave Ole Miss for LSU and then their governor opened his mouth. Kiffin isn’t leaving OM.
It's funny that I just answered that above but I'll link a really informative article I read the other day about it while we're on the topic. As bad as the situation is with the UAA at Florida, this might be worse.Do Louisiana politicians routinely get involved with university business or is this something LSU asked for?
That is wild, if I'm a coach I'm avoiding that toxicity until the flames die down. Regardless there's going to be resentment behind the scenes there for some time. Their sandbox got pissed in.It's funny that I just answered that above but I'll link a really informative article I read the other day about it while we're on the topic. How Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry amassed the power to fire AD Scott Woodward -- and what comes next
The Jeff Landry–Scott Woodward feud is the latest reminder that in Louisiana, football and politics are one in the samewww.cbssports.com
He shouldn’t have taken it to the media and is a little weird. Although he is right. If a booster doesn’t pay the buyout it can fall on taxpayers. I know it’s not likely but technically it could happen. That is wild, if I'm a coach I'm avoiding that toxicity until the flames die down.
