Don’t know who they’ll be but I’d expect some guys to leave we aren’t thinking about leaving. Happens to every team.

Guys will ask for raises and they’ll be some that the staff doesn’t feel they want to pay that amount. Especially if Vols go a little more aggressive in portal. Tough to pay a guy from the portal more than what you’re paying guys in the room already. So if you do that then you likely need to give everyone else in the room a raise as well.

There were too many deflating moments. The crowd would get up and then something terrible would happen. That game should have been a blowout.

Unless we lose someone other than Brazzell, we do not need receivers at all from the portal. I’d sure hope we don’t because we have great young talent and in the incoming class and I’d rather play them than lose them,

Exactly. The stadium was rocking. We got them in 2nd and 20, then 3rd and 16. Everyone was on their feet.

First down…..

There were just so many deflating, wtf moments.

Just when the top was about to explode, the team would soil their britches.

If we had beat UGA and an only 1 loss team coming into this game, I think we would have won easily.

From a coaches perspective it looked like he lost some of his confidence after the turnovers and it difficult to rehabilitate that during the game.

I agree, he's been getting away with gun-slinging all season, thrown a couple of ducks that shouldn't have been thrown.

I'm not sure how he missed the high safety help on those interceptions. They were both bad decisions.

For what it's worth...

Joey in 9 games has surpassed Nico's passing yards and TDs through 13 games last season.

If nothing else tip of the hat to coach Heupel for handling that exchange so well. I seriously doubt Nico would be putting up the sort of passing numbers Joey is and I don't know that we'd be 6-3 with Nico on this team.

Also Brazzell leads SEC in yards & TDs
Staley now leads SEC in receptions

all 3 WRs are top 8 in SEC in yards, top 15 in TDs

Bishop leads SEC in yards per carry with 6.7, is 5th in rushing yards, and 3rd in rushing TDs

Joey now leads in almost every major category in passing

I've noticed a trend. We can run out to early success but once defenses adjust to what we're doing we get bogged down some.

When they took the early timeout I knew what he was doing as a defensive minded coach. Even after that we had some success, but the offense has some breakdowns and a couple of really bad calls/missed calls were the difference in the game. Despite our two turnovers we beat them them on the field if it's called correctly.

Honestly, Saturday's game was almost a mirror of last year's game vs OU in Norman. We rolled into a hostile environment with College GameDay there and won with a somewhat ineffective QB and a final score that made the game seem closer than it was.

I am really hoping it will be non-critical depth we lose. and hoping we upgrade talent in key areas.

Dang. There are some portal losses that surprise me. A Carter returning would be tremendous. Very doubtful McCoy returns.

My frustrating is that Willie or Banks can do in-homes and recruit on the road. If you're leaving it to an off field assistant they can only really interact when the recruits are on campus or at scheduled practices. Not as much interaction.

Banks wanted to only be DC and focus more on overall scheme. And help with all units. Alan was brought in to coach the safeties and let Banks do that.
