It was a marginal call. The runner was clearly about to be out of bounds
and the hard hit was not necessary. We need to play smarter, don't give the refs a chance to affect a game.

But if the runner had wriggled free and 27 let up, he’d be getting crucified.
I’m all for “echo of the whistle” aggressive flags

Agreed. And It wasn’t even that hard of a hit. Just made sure he was out of bounds and then let up. Definitely a bogus call.
