Joey A

Joey is not good enough to play at this level. If the opposition is so bad that our receivers can run wide open, he can throw them the ball. If receivers are tightly covered, he throws interceptions. He has a history of throwing interceptions wherever he has played. It’s difficult to be optimistic about the Florida and Vanderbilt games.
I would challenge anyone to throw picks in this game with the way the defense was beating his ass from the first snap. Not saying he couldn't have avoided them but he was getting hit pretty much every play. I haven't seen a QB take punishment like that since Matt Simms whose best skill was he could keep getting up.

All in perspective I suppose. I don’t think Heup is a terrible coach. I do hate that he constantly fields undisciplined, mistake prone teams. That has been a constant of his.

I just don’t think he’s a next level coach. All depends on what you want out of the program I suppose. He can likely win 8-9 a season here for a good while but never sniff any sort of title.

We can likely win 9 this year with a bowl win and I’m sure many like yourself will be thumping your chest about his many 9-10 win seasons. But in all reality there’s a good chance we win 9 with losses to GA, Bama, Florida, OU, and a dog fight vs Vandy. With that said we won’t even have a win against a ranked opponent. So what did we really accomplish if we won 9 but lost to every good team and rival on our schedule?

Like I said, all depends on perspective. If you want to thump your chest over that “9“ then so be it. I look at the substance of that 9.
The thumping comment is ridiculous. People who know far more than you predicted 9-3 or 8-4. Not sure where you get your "perspective" from, because I know you neither coached nor played anything at this level. Your perspective is that of the entitled and uninformed fan variety. I thought 10-2 and a playoff berth would have been a great season. We certainly have improvements to make but Heupel has this team going in the right direction. Will he get to the next level? I don't know and neither do you. I do know you wouldn't have the slightest clue as to whom we could get here that could do better

Almost every bad play that Joey made was because he was about to be put on his ass because the OL let someone get to him. I think there was only 1 real unforced error.

Honestly, after last year, JA is doing a FANTASTIC job. Saturdays loss was NOT on him.

You actually don’t know ****. Abd I wasn’t aware there were coaching qualifications on this board? They skipped that part of my screening process. You make this “coaching” statement non stop. It’s funny really. I have this suspicion if this board was limited to a coaching background you wouldn’t have anyone to sit here and be miserable with. Then again, I’m sure you’d be fine doing it all on your own.

Have fun running those kids off of your lawn today.

Oh, since you didn’t invent the internet you prob shouldn’t reply back. Since I’m not a coach it makes you angry if I mention some flawed coaching areas.

With that said, since you didn’t invent the www it makes me angry that you pretend to use it with no background in computing/coding. Do better.

You actually don’t know ****. You’re just a righteous idiot who attempts to bash anyone with a differing opinion than yours. I’m sure your family is proud. No one is miserable but you. Post after post, you are constantly bashing Heupel. Projection at its finest. I am actually the one between us who puts our team's situation in a reasonable perspective. Most people who post here haven't played or coached anything at this level, which is fine because most have reasonable takes, other than your usual "if he had proper coaching" takes. Coaches can't tackle or execute. You should listen some to guys who knows more than you about it. They were all over the air yesterday and today

For me Joey Aguilar is exactly what we thought he was. (Appropriate for the Dennis Green quote)

Joey has gotten away with so many throws into trouble. Saturday he did it and Oklahomas defense made him look like the Joey from App St. It happens. He had had some great moments and timing with the receivers but if you keep placing the ball in harms way there are bound to be moments of where get burnt.

I’m a Joey A fan, just due to his story and the situation he came into and how he’s handles it.
I hate the picks in general, but doubly hate they happened on his dime. He’s an easy to root for kid.
No matter what he goes into after UT, imo he’s a VFL and should never pay for a meal in K-town again.
