And what business do we have in the playoffs? It's over with. Heck, Memphis is ranked ahead of us. Fla and Vandy will be hard to beat. We would get our butts handed to us in the playoffs.

We need to prepare ourselves for 7-5 rather than holding out hope of a playoff.

We are the best of the bottom 8. We are 0-3 against teams in the top 8 and barely beat two of the weaker teams below us. We never really improved from day 1. I think it's clear we've done about all we are capable of.

Hate to say it but we're not a playoff team this year. I'm a realist. Yes, if we were hitting on all cylinders, all the time, but we're not. It could always be worse, like Clemson, and I hope they fire Dabo too.

Yesterday's game was a playoff game at home and we lost. It sucks, but we had our chance and blew it. If the players couldn't execute with what was in front of them yesterday then they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. It kills me too becuase we never got to see this team with McCoy in the lineup.

Playoffs are off the table. All we can hope for now is to win out and finish 10-3 (including bowl game). In the process we would finally beat Florida in the Swamp as well as end Vanderbilt’s hopes of making the playoffs. It’s sad that our biggest accomplishment of the season could be playing spoiler to Vanderbilt.

It's prettty close. At worst it will be the Outback or Realquest whatever it's called now. Even if we're not the highest ranked non playoff SEC team, we travel and the remaining bowls will want us. We'll be in the best non playoff bowl.

Correct. Beating Fla won’t move the needle. So at most we have a win vs Vandy. Even ACC and Big 12 teams with 3 losses have more impressive resumes.

We easily should have been up at half and then we're just blitzing and playing behind it. Would have ran their asses out of here. The fumbles by the qb and the picks killed us. Anything that happens in the second half wouldn't have mattered. They were kicking field goals. This team loss was a bit more on the offense. They deserve the same criticism this week that the defense got in weeks prior.

You said teams in those conferences with 3 losses have more impressive resumes. I’m just asking what 3 loss teams from those conferences have better resumes? The big one I can think of is ASU>TTU. But they also lost to MSU. What other big wins for 3 losses teams in those conferences?

I remember reading a few months back how a sec team with three losses Tennessee being one might possibly have a shot at getting in the CFP . They went on to say so don’t lose three and force the panel to make that decision.

Why would you want to be in the Playoffs? At this point it is just bragging Rights.

Last year was an embarrassment. Two years in a row of embarrassment will be a feast for opposing fans and fodder for coaches in recruiting. We are not going to catch fire all of a sudden.
Sure we are a fumble away from being 7-2. Had we defeated OK the wound be having the same conversation.

We need regroup at this point. We have beaten to date no one of any significance and that is us hanging around pick me. You can blame injuries, defense, and depth but let's be honest this is not a playoff caliber team. I think we are seeing that CJH is a better position coach than a HC.

What's more, this team was not ready for this grind of a schedule. When you have to outscore a team to beat them you are going to lose. It is like having the prettiest woman at the Ball and everyone knows she is, but she dresses like a streetwalker.

Defense wins Championship. I am proud of the way the true Freshman have played this year. Extreme learning curve for them. The Defense has to be addressed in the off season and there needs to be a change at some point.

I have serious concerns that NM State is the only game we win. I don't think I'm responding out of emotion. I'm feeling pretty levelheaded today.
