That would be a successful season and possibly build some positivity back in some of our fans. Hopefully, it will play out that way

No. Beating a Florida team in the Swamp that has an interim coach is not some big achievement. Sure we break the streak but we literally had to have the game against them moved to the end of the year and them to fire their coach to have a shot at winning down there.

We have failed a lot of simple expectations this year.

Losing record to our biggest 3 rivals, didn’t contend for Atlanta, didn’t contend for the playoff, and we got bowl eligible.

This season is about as successful as 2023 and that was a nothing burger year.

No for me. They lost a must win game at home due to lack of execution from players and some bad in game coaching which has happened all season. Lagway may run wild. Looks bigger and faster than our lbs. I'll be watching but I wont be surprised at an ugly loss.

Anything other than winning out for me is a downer. The team has given away two games, GA and OU.
The big wins are MS and Arky.
Fla is kryptonite.
Vandy may be playing for a spot in the playoffs.
It will be their Superbowl, again.
I've been a fan for near 60 years and I did something last night I don't remember every doing before.
When Joey gifted them another int just before the half I turned it off. I knew it was not our night and would take a ton of luck to pull off a win.
It's tough to stay energized when it's like Groundhog Day.
It's like slamming your finger in the door, leaving your finger in the door and slamming it again.

Maybe record wise but they gave UGA all they wanted yesterday and I have no doubt they’ll give us fits. Those post Urban teams weren’t that good but UT managed to sh:t the bed!

I’ll still be there and will have fun that weekend.

Let me frame the “nightmare scenario” for you…

What happens when a 4-6 UF team with an interim HC beats UT, followed by the most obnoxious player in college football striking the Heisman pose in Neyland Stadium after he leads his team to a win?

I can live with that if we are playing guys who will be on the team next year. I will have zero sympathy or love lost for Heupel if he loses those games with our normal starters.

I can handle going 7-5 playing for the future. Can’t handle 7-5 with our normal starters who won’t be here next year and we have crap QB play in 2026. This is the 2023 season all over again.

This season is baked in the cake. It’s been disappointing. It might be more or less disappointing depending on how the rest goes. I give Heup credit for adjusting on the fly after losing Nico and all. We’ll see how it plays out and look forward to next year.

I don’t think Heupel mails it in at this point and goes with the youth movement. He’s trying to salvage as much as he can of this season. He reads the news like the rest of us.

The team, on the other hand…

I struggle with this. I’m not sure what there is to look forward to next year. We have no idea who the QB will be. We have two 4:5 star guys sitting on the bench who will be competing for the starting spot.

Hopefully Staley and Matthews stay here with the uncertainty around the QB position.

We could have a great glimpse at our QB situation for 2026 in these final 4 games.

My preseason expectations were 8-4 with losses to UGA, Bama, Florida, and either Arkansas or Oklahoma. Three on my list have happened (unfortunately). I did not think Vandy would be this good, so I didn’t have that on my list.

If we go 9-3 with our injuries and what we lost from last year senior wise, I think this season is a great season. 8-4 is what I expected . . . But losing to Vandy or UF will stink.

I think our chance to beat Vandy is 50/50 just like the Oklahoma game.

I think we lose to UF, but that’s my thought because we are not a good road team and we never pkay well there.

I will be shocked if this team finished 9-3. I expect 8-4. 7-5 won’t surprise me.

I honestly don't think next years starting QB is on the roster yet. He's probably at a different university right now. That's the Heupel way!

I just feel like rolling into 2026 with untested young QB’s will be such a risk considering how this season could end. I trust Heupel to develop a highly touted QB. But just like his coaches, he has a blind loyalty to QB’s when he should be thinking long term now that virtually all of the season goals for 2025 won’t be met.
