I know we are all frustrated by the loss and the end of our chance to make the playoffs, but I need some sort of positivity to cling on to. There are plenty of threads to complain about the game of which I have taken a fair share part of. But what are some positives we can

Here are some positives I noticed:

Ethan Davis looked really good. I thought he looked noticeably athletic for a TE and gives us an edge when lined up at LB.

I thought the whole secondary stepped up. Farooq made some great tackles and had a nice forced fumble. Redmond even had some tough battles he won. Colton Hood did his thing. Maybe sitting Boo really showed where the cancer was.

Edwin Spillman flashed and caused havoc blitzing the QB. I think he had a batted down pass or two along with helping force a sack.

Anything else?

The D played better than they have but OK does not have the high powered O that 4 of the last 5 teams have played so not sure how much improvement we are talking about here. The scoop and score and missed FG were killers in this game. Think we still could have won without those. It would have changed both teams strategies if those 2 plays had not happened but think Vols hold on.

Farooq was awarded 10 tackles and Spillman 9. Perolotte only had 1 but I felt like he was in there and disruptive.

Very interesting observation about Boo. Maybe his play has been part of the problem?

The third killer play was the 3rd-and-16 Mateer scramble for the first down. A 3-and-out there might have been big, and them going on to score on that drive was brutal.

I definitely liked the play of Davis…good hands, good size, good speed, good blocking…and I know they were giving it to us but hitting the RB - we seem to forget that option or when we do try it, forget how to catch…

is it possible that Boo is causing some chemistry issues similar to Banks a few years back?

Several guys went down with injuries, but, unless I missed it, none appeared serious. Five guys had over 50 yards receiving. Brazzell continues to dazzle. It was good to see Hood and A. Carter back out there.
