People have lost what it means to be a fan. Go Vols…. Let’s win out.I see what you’re saying but if you like college football and like cheering for your squad then all these games still matter, just in a different way. Bowl game def matters to potentially see some other guys get more experience and carry some momentum into spring next year.
Maybe heupel should get DW or that consultant group they use involved for his staffing.I do with better coaches. Our team will be loaded next year with our recruiting class and 10 or so portal players. We will have top end talent to win every game.
Need some staff changes and upgrades. And before everyone cries, I am not saying anything about Heupels job. Assistants only
If you take a step back and analyze the situation instead of reacting out of being emotional you have to ask how Florida's plan of firing coaches at the first sign of adversity has actually performed? I would submit that it has them wondering in the wilderness like we did before Heupel. I personally don't want to use the current Florida model as something that I want UT to follow as it has been an absolute failure. The reality is there are almost no gauranteed home run hires and more often than not firing a coach with the level of success of someone like Heupel leads to negative results the majority of the time. We should strive to achieve a championship but expecting one or else is fools gold. I would say we are accepting the best run in two decades and competing to get into the playoffs which is reasonable.McElwain and Mullen both went to the SEC championship game which we haven’t been to since 2007.
What are we accepting then?
And they fired both quickly. They fire anyone who doesn’t win quick. They didn’t get the next hires right but they will fire and keep trying until they do. Because they don’t accept not winning. I’m not sure what our record would be if we had Floridas schedule for the last two years.
he did nothing to help special teams and hasn't in a while. i will say he has generated some turnovers this year. and has helped on defense, but he was non existent last night. along with the dl linebackers and entire secondary minus Ty Redmond.Sometimes the hard decision is the better decision... Yes, we needed Boo but at what cost on team chemistry?

16 is already in the works. 24 with a play-in game will be here before you know it.Yes. Every team will have some years where they don’t make the playoff. Unless they expand this thing to 24
Don’t let 15 years of abuse and negligence by our university and athletic leadership fool you into the thought that we deserve any less than to be a perennial top 10 team in the country. It's not a down year. This is a successful year compared to what Tennessee has been for more than a decade, spanning 5 different coaches, not including Heupel.
