Both of which changed head coaches at the end of that season so that’s baked in there as well. Tennessee spends more than it’s getting on the field. Every other big 4 program on campus is ran super aggressively championship level recruiting staffing transfer portal etc except Football.

Assuming you haven’t watched either of those teams play this year. Yes this version of the Vols can beat both those teams. Can also lose to both. That’s what makes this fun!

Problem is, you are seldom staying in one place you are either moving up or down. I guess time will determine if this was an anomaly or the program is heading down.
This is year 5. The roster belongs to him. His assistants belong to him. Everyone deals with injuries. This game seems like a watermark for me. It may be hard for him to recover from this one. I think we'll be lucky to split with FL and Vandy. If I had to bet the house I would say we lose to both. Lose one the seat gets warm. Lose to both the temp gets really hot, especially if it's at home to Vandy.

And that we will have ten wins. We have at max nine. No one cares about a meaningless bowl game anymore. Only thing that matters is the playoff.

I’ll take your bet though. I’ll bet 8 wins and you can say 10. What’s the wager?

GT bet is looking pretty solid for me right now too.

Yes! It's just a barrel of monkeys knowing there's a decent chance you lose to Vandy at home and a FL team that just fired their coach. I'm having a blast just thinking about it.

I see what you’re saying but if you like college football and like cheering for your squad then all these games still matter, just in a different way. Bowl game def matters to potentially see some other guys get more experience and carry some momentum into spring next year.

😂 I get that but not enough college football Saturdays per year for me not to enjoy watching the team. Feel like anybody can lose to just about anybody. UGA almost lost to FL!

Well, we lost. I wrote last week that something was off, whether it is a bad seed on the team whose attitude has spread or coaching and game planning that has gone down hill or both. I think mostly last night CJH may have been trying to out think an old pal rather than running what has worked on offense. Defensively we just ain't got it, be it injuries or just over all inability to coach people up and put them in a position to make plays or all the above, it's just broke. The one thing I hope CJH doesn't get caught up in is the loyalty to coaches that are not preparing the players, or letting certain people affect the culture that has been changing for the better. We have all seen these type things in the past and rarely does it end well.
