Give him a 9/10. He is the future here. Make no mistake about it. He took a team coming off a CFP and lost the starting qb because he is a man of principles. He was a few plays from doing this back to back. He also had key injuries. We may only win one more game, but as for me, I have seen a lot of UT coaches come and go, a lot of loyal players come and go, and I stand with Coach 100%. If you don’t believe in him go pull for Vandy.

Yep, we need to tell him to not suit up and throw those interceptions and whiff on blocks to cause blind side fumbles and never call a play that the other side doesn't expect you to call and have refs miss offside calls. We definitely need to go back into oblivion and hire a look alike for the last four great coaches we had here and then we can go back to letting Vandy be the best program in the state.

Well, at least there is ONE person applauding him. I doubt there are many today. Penalties, clock management, road losses, losing to AL, OK, FL, GA and Vandy in 1 season..... doesn't seem worth of "applause". But, you go bro, think what you think.
I think he’s doing a hell of a job.

If Joey doesn’t turn the ball over 3 times we win by double digits. If a TE catches a ball that hits him in the face we possibly win. If our kicker makes a chip shot we possibly win.

The gameplan was good last night. Play calling was good. Time management was good.

Most of us thought we would not be as good this year, but mainly because we lost our starting qb after spring practice and our receivers were suspect. And that would have been somewhat understandable and acceptable. However, I doubt anyone thought we would be so poor on fundamentals (tackling, run blocking, busted assignments, penalties, poor football IQ, questionable coaching decisions, etc). There is no excuse for this level of poor execution. Look at Vandy - they have a team full of 2 and 3 star athletes and they play much better disciplined football than we do. It's one thing to play a good game and still lose, but to lose because of your own self inflicted mistakes is another. We will never be a championship level team until this improves on both sides of the ball. Coach H deserves a chance to correct this during the off season, but if this continues next year then changes are needed.

Joey turned the ball over 3 times because he was under pressure and getting hit every time he dropped back. (Credit Venables for his plan.) All 3 turnovers were from getting hit. O line was abysmal and the coaches never adjusted the blocking scheme.

Keeping a DC who gives up a 20 yard QB run on 3rd and 19 makes me pump the breaks. That’s the one that did me in.
The defense played better last night because they were playing what looked like a high school offense ever since Mateer got hurt. Our offense did us no favors with the turnovers...

But watching TN'S defense vs Oklahoma's is like comparing Heupel's offense to Kentucky's. Oklahoma confuses you, shows all kinds of pre-snap looks, blitzes, and baits you into bad plays.

Tim Bank's scheme is the equivalent of watching Kentucky's offense. Not much to it.

You can make excuses till the cows come home. Auburn has about 4 losses due to a few plays going the wrong way. Eventually you are what your record says.

While I get the sentiment and understand how all of you may feel......worried that you found your Mark Richt, Heupel doesn't deserve to be compared to any of those bums
Unfortunately I believe you’re correct but in this day and age of College hall, Richt woulda done well with the playoff era I believe.. his teams got beat early and improved as the year went on.. as much of a great Christian man as he is.. but he just couldn’t get Jawja over the hump.. I hope Heupel isn’t that guy..

Bad luck is part of the game, believe it or not, especially when you’re not good enough to overcome catastrophic mistakes. It’s not realistic to expect us to be that good every year. We were expected to be a fringe playoff team at best. A team that needed the ball to bounce their way to make it in. It didn’t. That isn’t an excuse that’s just the truth.

What happened to the argument that we have the #1 offense in the country. Not saying it was you particularly saying it
