The Official #14 Tennessee vs. #18 Oklahoma Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ABC

Field position. We had two timeouts and roughly 2 minutes of game clock. Let’s say they had the ball around the 25 hypothetically.

They’d get the ball with about 110 seconds to play. 3 straight runs is likely 20 seconds of play clock. That’s down to 90 seconds. You can’t stop it on one of those and the play clock 40 seconds.

That’s 50 seconds. You have a punt play and probably get it back with 40 seconds left to play.

In that scenario, you’ll probably get the ball back around your own 30-40 and have 40 seconds left to get into FG range.

Your odds of doing that are better than your odds of executing an onside kick
But the chart...

f***. I’m 69 and I’ve been a Vol fan for 60+ years. I’ve seen one legit national championship in my lifetime. I’m afraid I’ll never see another

Brother, I’m 40 and I feel the same way. That’s why hiring Elander was huge for me because if anyone brings me that joy again it’s likely to be the baseball team.

Who cares? Maybe the freshmen TE since they thought putting the game in his hands was a good idea.

The guy had the chance to be the hugest hero in Vol lore in the last 5 years

TE's catch footballs from time to time, yeah??

All he had to do was catch a ball that hit him in the face. The fact that he was a FR was the reason he wasn't covered
