Florida has nothing to lose. If anything, a first down allows them to run off another 2 minutes. Getting that first down and running off clock that leads to a touchdown or even a FG could make Georgia have to go length of field in hurry up.

I think the reward outweighed the risk going for it there.

Basically was proposition to get a first down and run off 2 minutes plus taking a 6 point lead or give Georgia ball back.
