As long as GT wins the ACC Championship, the ACC will be a 1 bid league. The Big Ten is looking like a 3 bid league. The Big 12 looks like a 1 bid league but could potentially get 2 in. ND will get 1. Group of 5 will get 1. That means the SEC will get 4, possibly 5 teams in and we will have some SEC vs SEC matchups in the first round. Knowing our luck we will get in but will be playing at Ole Miss or Georgia in the 7/10 or 8/9 game 😂
Michigan has a path to be the 4th Big Ten team to get in.... Play Ohio State at home if they win that game probably plays Indiana for Big Ten Championship... If Michigan wins that's 4 from Big Ten

OSU
Indiana
Oregon
Michigan

Big 12 only 1 team

ACC like you said only gets Georgia Tech if they win ACC Championship but if another team beats Georgia Tech in Championship, two teams probably from ACC.

Notre Dame wins out , they're in.

One G5 team, probably Memphis

4 SEC teams. 5 if ACC only get Georgia Tech.

I just don’t see Michigan winning The Big Game this year. Ohio State is out for blood. Also, wouldn’t be shocked to see them lose at Maryland and finish 8-4. That’s actually pretty embarrassing considering how weak that conference is this year. The only ranked team they have played is Oklahoma.

Don’t count out North Texas for the Go5 bid. There are like 5 teams contending for the American Conference so whoever wins will get the bid.

The big elephant in the room will always be ND though until they are forced to join a conference. It’s really not fair they get to play by a completely different set of rules. They are forced to play in the ACC or Big Ten for all their other sports. It should be the same for football.
When Playoffs are expanded this winter , it will be no big deal then...

You can still play your precious USC game but Stanford is the ACC now so that can be a permanent conference game for you and then you can schedule whoever the hell you want for your other 3 non conference games outside of USC. Get with the program or get left behind. That’s what I would tell them.

Well of course then, but I’m talking now and all the other years Notre Dame has existed. They think they are holier than thou and get to preside over the rest of the sport while the rest of us have to run through a gauntlet every season. Not saying the ACC is a gauntlet but at least you are forcing ND to play an extra game for a Championship game that all the other contenders have to play in. It’s just not equal. That’s why the rest of the country despises them.
