I agree - they key is we must win out regardless of what anyone else does.

It all depends where the committee values us in the initial rankings. If we are in the 10-15 range when the first rankings come out, we are fine.

Thanks to disney and youtube_tv dispute I had to get a day pass with sling orange to watch the games. Sling has the game in skycast which is actually a pretty cool view of the game

I don't care if they lose today as long as we beat them, hope FL beats GA today too.

Ugh. They look overwhelmed. 10-0 early. We need those clowns as high as possible in rankings when we play them

It does not hurt us. Quit whining. You realize if Vandy drops below us, that is just as good as beating them. Vandy is one of the teams in front of us. if they are no longer in front of us, we move up. Quit being a Vandy cheerleader

I think I’m on the “result doesn’t matter for Tennessee if Tennessee wins out“ train because we’re currently ahead of Texas and if we beat Vandy then we would jump them. I don’t think Texas would jump us if we both won out.

I don't care if they win or lose....but at the end of the year I want them to be humbled by the real UT. Doesn't look good, poor Pavia needs a good humbling.

He's been in the system 3 years, he should have known well before now it he fit or not.

The offensive line last 4 starters from the last seasons. I think that’s been the biggest issue for Texas’ offense and gets a lot less attention because all of the focus is on Arch’s play.

How would Vandy losing and subsequently dropping below us if we beat OU not help us?

If Texas wins out then that means they beat Texas A&M who will likely be undefeated.

No. No we don’t. Stop the madness. If Vandy drops a few games, they are going drop below us which means we move up.
Nope, not pulling for them but beating a top 10 Vandy would be worth way more on selection day with our head to head win.

Not much chance of that with these officials.., suspect holding, and the ref not hitting that defender for taunting including a face mask bump. Did not know warnings for that was in the rule book. Real integrity challenge. Texas does not need that help. Maybe these guys are just HOMERS.

And it would create a 3 way tie for second in the SEC if Bama finishes 8-0 in conference. Texas has to run the table but they still have everything in front of them.

Nothing bad about a win over a top 10 team. I think Texas wins this game, but Vandy winning is still better for the Vols overall since we don’t play Texas. Vols beating a top 10 Vandy would also send them below us and move us up and add the benefit of beating a top 10 team.

Not really but keep thinking that.

Say Vandy loses by double digits today and we win by double digits today, there is gonna be a gravitation towards the #10 spot in current polling with Vandy dropping multiple spots and Tennessee moving up.

Vandy losing in big fashion today + Tennessee winning in big fashion (say repeat score of last week vs Kentucky) we will be close to the #10 spot.

Texas looks like the much better team so far. Talent disadvantage might be catching up with Vandy.
