Does Sling's one day pass cover games on ABC

This is proof I have the right idea. I don't allow my smart TV access to the Internet. Thereby, remain in control of what I can access via a streaming device's apps. And in the case of this ABC thing, just use my TV's OTA to watch public broadcasts as usual.

Of course they're trying to push people to their streaming platform. They are a for profit business.

So you have no problem with Google launching YouTube TV a few years ago for $30 a month (at a consistent loss) and basically starving out all other total package streamers and then rasing prices to....what are we now $85 -ish per month and climbing?

It's called capitalism.. Disney, YouTube., Berkshire...their CEOs have a fiduciary responsibility to maximize returns to their shareholders. They don't care who thinks they're greedy or mean, they just want to keep their jobs. If they don't deliver, they'll be sent packing.

People calling these successful companies greedy is like saying Nick Saban was greedy for winning too much.
I never called them greedy and I don't hate capitalism I own a small business lol

BUT as an American I DO get to choose sides and choose where to spend my money. yeah I have no problem with what Google did because they have the superior product. Disney and their streaming platforms are hot garbage and I'm not paying the same amount for those services as I pay for a good service like YouTube TV. I want Disney broken up, not because I hate capitalism or monopolies but because Disney makes garbage decisions and sub par products and they are ruining the college sports experience with what they have done to ESPN. it's not a capitalism problem it's a Disney problem.

It started out less than $70. All these streaming services are constantly pulling the bait and switch.
the cost of ANY streaming service will always go up because the cost to produce content always goes up. people who expect to pay one price forever are willingly choosing to be naive or ignorant to how the world works.

it's well known that most streaming services outside of Netflix have been losing money by the billions. this is why Disney no longer has the stand alone Disney app and has begun bundling it with Hulu and ESPN. they were losing sh!t tons of money running the Disney streaming service.

this is the exact same reason the music industry is dying because artists can't make money off streaming. that's why concert tickets are now $500 a piece. artists have to make money off of concerts because they don't make it off of album sales anymore.

That’s why they always lose customers as well. Expecting people to continuously be gouged is pretty ignorant and naive.

SEC network is having the best game of the year as far as broadcasting is concerned. Texas versus Vanderbilt. There are absolutely no commentators! Such a beautiful thing to have just the game. No bias whatsoever.

I hope all of ABC’s games are just like this. No commentators equals no idiots jabbering on during the game. 10-0

I think I just heard the Texas band playing Rocky Top!!

Skycast is ok when there’s a game you don’t care that much about playing or when Greg Mcilroy is commentating.

Wanting Disney broken up because you don't like the decisions they make sounds like communism. Disney had the smarts to buy ESPN 30 years ago and they can do whatever they want with it. If people don't like it they don't have to watch it. If Disney ends up making poor business decisions the marketplace will adjust.

Right now they're trying to do what every smart business does by trying to find the maximum that people will pay.

You can watch almost any college football game free by searching live college football on Youtube. If you can't find it just search the specific game you are looking for.

Just watched a bit of Vandy-Texas on YT, and it's like streaming from the stone ages, the picture shaking at any motion. When the players are stationary it's fine. Watch a whole game that way and your head will be rattling.

Youtube TV, as a lot of smart people predicted, is the new cable TV. It won't be long until their service is triple digits per month

I have spectrum and all
I have to do is threaten to cancel every 2 years to get a reasonable deal. If you actually cancel in about a week you might get a better deal.

then I'm afraid you don't understand communism. breaking up Disney for the sole reason that they are a huge conglomerate is communism. actually that's not even comunism. comunism would be the government taking over and running the huge conglomerate.

wanting Disney to be dismantled because they ruin everything the touch is just good business. ESPN is trash now, Star Wars is trash now and Disney hasn't made a good original movie in 20 years. it's a bad company and the only way they have stayed alive this long is living off the companies they have acquired while they slowly ruin them just like they ruined the original Disney.

Okay you don't think they make good movies or it's your tagline of them being"woke" that you don't like. If it's being "woke" then you got a lot of companies you need to ban.... Can't shop up at Walmart, can't buy anything from Amazon and hate to break it to you you can't support this university anymore

I signed up for 5 day free trial with FUBO. We are watching Tex-Vandy. You just have to remember to cancel on Monday after watching NFL tomorrow.

disney is complete garbage I wish they would divest ESPN and ABC and then vanish. all they are doing here is trying to push people toward using their streaming platform. HULU is complete and total garbage app. youtube TV is by far the best streaming service and Disney knows it.
At least YT TV is fighting the crooks.

I did the 5 day free trial of fubo tv. It has abc and espn unlimited is included and it’s cheaper than YouTube…. but the app is a bit slow and clunky compared to YouTube tv. Can’t even do a quick switch back to the previous channel you were watching. Takes a while to load and open what you switch to.

Watching all the games now though- will decide later on long term .
