ESPN/ABC just went out on YouTube TV

Been testing this posted by another user here. It's working well. Only drawback is you cannot pause or record. I'm using it on my PC without issue. There is also a way to install this on a Smart TV via ROKU, FireStick, Apple TV, and after 7 Days you can pay a $12.00 one time fee. Sounds sketch but works in a clutch until the YouTubeTV\Disney deal gets finalized (If it gets finalized). You may also be able to find it on YouTube somewhere. Sometimes those streams work well and sometimes they get shut down.
For the Tennessee Game you will need to select WNBC New York.

My assumption is other streaming services are going to start having an issue with what Disney is wanting in exchange for their channels and more streaming services will lose these Disney channels. I think Disney is wanting people to switch to their subscriptions (ESPN unlimited, etc.)
or they want you to switch to their service - Hulu. It’s seems almost illegal that they can shakedown other providers to increase subscribers to their service…

Those going antenna route check the FCC website for channel signal strength and your closest tower. I checked yesterday and the ABC channel shows weak for my area. So not sure if it’s worth it.

FYI, you can use a length of cable coax for an antenna..Evan an old patch cord like we used years ago to connect a VCR, dvd player etc.
Once connected, go to TV settings and run the antenna/ over the air search.

I’ve been using a 3rd party streaming service for almost a year now that I ended up finding on Reddit and it works pretty dang good for the price. There are times where it will buffer and or rewind and play the previous 10 seconds for some reason. No idea why it does this but all I do is back out of that channel and go right back to it. Again the price is extremely reasonable so I took a chance on it. I don’t want to post the guys email publicly and him get 3000000 spam emails but anyone is more than welcome to pm me and I can give you his email. I am watching this off my firestick and I can also watch off my phone. Just throwing this out there if folks in a tight place trying to watch games today. i dont really watch tv other than ball games. My kids watch it on a daily basis though.

Heh. Ironic that YouTube is an answer to the YTTV blackout. There were a half dozen streams there of the Memphis-Tulane game, and College GameDay is on right now. Picture quality isn't pure HD, but not bad.

I do Directv stream.. I love their DVR options and I record everything I watch. rarely watch anything live.

15-18 football games each week. With basketball starting, will record 3-4 a night. record 18 or so network shows that I watch with my wife except those she cares about and I don't. Mostly I watch recorded games through the week.

Stream fits everything I want or need and I've had since July without a single issue. Zero.
LWS (or anyone who might know), Im unable to watch almost anything live anymore it seems, but I also many times am able to start watching before the game ends. So I watch from the beginning, maybe 2 hours after the game started. YTTV was great for this but I know some other services don’t allow this…i.e. you can watch it live or wait until it’s completely over and only then can you watch from the beginning and fast forward, rewind, etc.

Does the Direct Tv stream allow this as an option? Or anyone else know if your other service offers this? Thanks all!

Also ironic YTTV is now the evil empire when a few years ago they were the new regime of choice to replace the previous evil empires (sat TV and ground cable companies).

Yes my YTTV is 92$ a month now without the channels that have left it is worth 20$ a month . And if they jack the prices again to get the channels back i will drop it.

how that works on Directv Stream is when you show up in the third quarter to watch game, you just hit record on your remote. It would start recording from the beginning of the game. Then go to DVR list and start watching from the beginning. of course you should set things up to record anyway and already have it. :) I have 12 games setup to record today including UT/OK

I cancelled YouTubeTV a few weeks ago. I just subscribe to ESPN Unlimited with the Disney+/Hulu bundle (because it was the same price to bundle it at $29.99 as just getting ESPN Unlimited by itself, so why not bundle). I bought antennas for my TVs to get the local/network channels and they work great. Perfect picture in HD.

That's all I need. Everything else, we just stream. I'll probably need to purchase the CBS March Madness app in March/April to watch the NCAAT, then cancel, but that's no big deal. I'm saving a ton by cancelling YTtv.
