Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

It's always some d*ckhead in an office with an excel spreadsheet. You can imagine them having their epiphany moment. "Wait, so all I have to do is screw over the consumer and the numbers go up? Oh my god im a genius."
The guy with the spreadsheet keeps updating spreadsheet with all of the bigger and bigger payouts to sports leagues and the only way he can make spreadsheet balance obviously including the hefty profits for Disney is raising prices.

Every time Disney pays more for sports(think SEC 9 game schedule), Disney raises prices.

There is a correlation between the two.

Not defending them just stating root cause.

I was watching the morning talk show at 6:00 a.m. on ESPN 2 on the app.
With all this talk, I tried and it wont let me watch it. I logged in with my Disney+ credentials and it says I have to upgrade my subscription. I watch Disney+ and HULU all the time and can still watch it but it won't allow me to watch ESPN live programming.

Lea's run at Vandy is much more impressive than Franklin's. The SEC is decent now, and Lea didn't inherit a good roster like Franklin did. Lea really does deserve a promotion.
Lea instantly improved their play the moment he got there imo. The record didn't reflect his first year but you could tell they were more fundamentally sound. Last year and this year, they've been much improved.

This is where I’m at. I watch so little network television outside of sports or local channels that I can watch with an antenna.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the conflict is intentional by disney to push YouTube tv subscribers towards espn bundle instead.
That is absolutely what Disney is doing.

Does Venables have the defensive line to do the Georgia defense game plan of stopping us running with just the down lineman and therefore enough on the back end to guard the receivers? My question for tomorrow

I have the Disney+, Hulu and ESPN unlimited bundle.. I just checked put the game for tomorrow on my watchlist... You probably will have to upgrade.. I pay $43 dollars after tax...

You should be able to watch it if you have the espn/disney+/hulu bundle. Make sure it’s not just espn+ included in the bundle

It looks like I only have the ESPN+ package. It's a bundle that is included with my cell phone package. Doesn't look like I get it.

Franklin was only at Vandy three years, though. At the end of year three for Lea, he was 9-27 and 2-22 in the SEC.

Lea also has the most veteran roster in the SEC right now. Vandy will take a massive step back next year without their seniors/super seniors and Pavia.

Today was the last straw for ESPN. I cancelled Hulu a few months ago with YTTV but went back to YTTV. Honestly, its just not worth the aggravation. Not gonna give them another willing dime ever again. Its too easy to pirate to keep playing their stupid games.
I made that decision years ago. I have never enjoyed TV more than I do now.

I've seen that one.

Mr. Ballen is making lot's cash. He has a huge empire of podcast and Youtube channels.
I wasnt sure. It just came out yesterday. He did one with Shawn Ryan a year ago. This is in the new studio.

People would ship their pants if they realized how much he's making. I think it's up over $15m/yr.

If I was a Vandy fan I would hate Penn State so much. This is setting up to be potentially hilarious.
Obviously NIL has compressed the gap between different jobs, but Vanderbilt still faces some structural limitations that a place like Penn State doesn't. Still, it's Lea's alma mater, and I do wonder if he would give that up.
