No he wasn't. I bet you thought DeSean Bishop was going to be riding the pine with Seldon and Keith in his same class when he signed too.

You all are fixated on recruiting rankings.
It seems the staff told him to look elsewhere.
Georgia Tech is ranked 8th in the country. Their recruiting ranks is 48th. Their average for the past 4 years is right around that.
- ranked 25 scoring offense
- ranked 35 in Scoring defense
They're doing something right there.

This kid is having a great year for Pike Road.
He's one of the national leaders in solo tackles. While our defense is missing 12 tackles a game lol.

This dude will be All-ACC for Georgia Tech.
I love our 2026 class, but letting this kid look elsewhere where was not the right move.

This. Telander plays with as much heart as anyone. Doesn’t have elite measurables, could be better in coverage, but I’m not upset with his contributions this year. He’s giving it all he’s got and it’s better than most. He’s a leader too.

more likely we have two elite big and fast backers committed, a shot with Atkinson, and outlaw’s physical profile is no where near where we place our backers. He fits GT at OLB and in the ACC he can survive. I really liked this pickup but as season has gone on I’ve noticed our LB’s getting bullied and am hoping we beef up there. Things change.

I think it’s most telling that after a half season of watching our linebacker play and a half season of watching outlaw play they were willing to drop him, no fight


Some of you obsess over statistics in the same way some of us obsess over recruiting rankings. These things are nuanced. Not every statistical outlier means guaranteed success. not every 5 star pans out. It’s about what our team needs

He’s not slow. He’s on his heels and asked to go guard grass 15 yards from the rb or read and “keep it in front” instead of attacking and disrupting. Thinking too much, as well as confusion and our overall defense lack of anticipation, makes you slower and results in bad angles.
Nobody ever mentioned him being slow the last 2 years or in HS in his division in Ga where he stood out for his athleticism.
Let him fire a gap into the backfeild at the snap. He’s made a few good plays quick to the rb in the backfeild when we let him.

They are doing something right. They play in the ACC and not the SEC. They are good but an 8-9 win team with our schedule. I watch every single game of there’s.

Telander is all over the field and usually around the ball carrie, I think he does a decent job.
I love a good d fence and usually rewatch games (except for jawja, oh the pain) Looks like the edges have always got their eyes set on the Qb and are not even thinking about setting the edge, it looks like the O guards are giving way sometimes to let the aggressive edges take themselves outta the running plays, same with the interior linemen. They are an aggressive bunch.

Tennessee and Braylon Outlaw decided to part ways a couple days ago. Outlaw was an early commit that always seemed out of place to us. William Inge has continued to talk to other linebackers and as of now nobody is scheduled to visit over the next game or two for the 2026 class. We will see if that changes. If that does then, obviously that will be a movement shift and potentially adding another linebacker.

And we need guys that can tackle. Agree?

What good is being big if you can’t get there? I know you said big and fast, but part of being fast is play recognition. This kid is very cerebral. Long arms and has the pass defense of a safety.

Atkinson would be great. And I still would be complaining about Outlaw.

Of course we won’t know till 2 years from now. Bishop is going to rush for 1,000 yards as a sophomore and nobody believed in him except his folk. I said he would be good though. Did I not?? Same with Marcell Reed. But y’all hate when I’m right.

Just is not quick at all and gets beat every time in space. He's very good in between the tackles, but is very limited in space. Problem was there was not really another option with Edwin being very up-and-down lately. Perlotte and Harmon stepping up has been huge. The more consistent Perlotte can be at fitting the right gap and being where he is supposed to be instead of trying to do too much, I feel like he would rotate in a lot more as well. Encouraging that he has showed these flashes bc I'm not going to lie, I was not the highest on him, but he's been able to prove me wrong for a good bit this season. Hoping that continues and makes me wish Buford packed weight on him and moved him inside before Inge
