Guys I discssued this with last year say it is used for sign indicator. Never seen him use it For that. I think it’s just a reminder to keep the game simple….. 3 outs in an inning, take them one at a time.

Welp, I wiffed on that one. How in the world did I miss that? I know y'all don't know me, but USUALLY, I would be the most observant person you've met. When I get home, if so much as a leaf has moved, I notice. Now I'm terribly curious to what it means (or meant).

Edit...I'm thinking Tony knew adidas was coming to town....

He typically adds the tape at the bottom of the 1st at home games.
The announcers pointed it out one time, but it was quieted quickly.
As I’ve said Preacher knew what it was from Kirby, but would only say play calling.
