Truth. I have a good friend here, met him at a men's home i used to help with. He was strung out at one time, but now he's married, 2 kids, and assistant pastor at a pretty big church.

Mine cant stay out of jail, that is where he is at right now setting right beside his son. His son was a great high school football here and he started at 17 and has not stopped. But he still talks about nobody will break his receiving record at the high school and I told him nobody will break his record for as many times he has been arrested either.

I’ve stopped listening to sports talk because they feel the need to cuss. I’m close to leaving volnation because of it. Even when it’s “hidden” by ***** everyone still knows the intent, and as such I read those words I try to avoid in my head.

I watched a lot of the PC. In the context of this answer, I think he was just saying “arguably the best college baseball fanbase” … since, as MoCo noted, he was talking to a pro baseball fanbase in this presser.

Awkwardly worded but that is almost for sure what he meant. Most people (even pro baseball fans) dont follow or know hardly anything about college baseball. I think he was just trying to give context to the situation he was in here to an entirely different audience.

So what you’re saying is go out and make sure you have a two deep of equally good starters (and pay them all) just in case your entire starting lineup in a whole position group is injured before game two? In the NIL era at that.

We’re blessed that Hood came on board even though he could start at any school in the country (first round projected NFL pick), so seems like in some sense heupel did what you wanted him to do.

Don’t back track now my friend. I was just pointing out what was incorrect. And yes, for linebackers, if the starters aren’t good enough, go spend on better players. Same with safety which has been bad.

I wish they would move Bailey back inside. Our line got way more pressure with him inside and West/Dye rushing over and over. It seemed more effective for pass rush.

But I expect our d line to eat this weekend. If garner is mad, he will have them mad and they are finally getting pretty healthy. I think the coaches would change their approach too and have taken more before the season. But I think it also helped as they have recruited their a**** off this year and they will have a monster portal class too. Next years team will be the best under Heupel and the most talented.

An article said VT was adding an additional $260 million on top of their regular athletics budget over the next 7 years.
