Two federal prosecutors have been told they will be put on leave after filing a brief that described the Jan. 6, 2021, attackers a "mob of rioters," sources say.

So, this fellow Taranto was part of the January 6 attack on the Capitol. Trump pardoned him.
Taranto then posted on line that he was going to drive a bomb into the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the very next day he was arrested outside of Obama's house with two firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. He was convicted of making threats and of firearms violations.
Two prosecutors filed a sentencing memorandum to the judge, and said in support of seeking a 27 month sentence that
Within hours of making the sentencing recommendation both prosecutors were locked out of their offices and devices and told they are "suspended."
This abject refusal to simply acknowledge basic facts and, worse, to go out of your way to punish and remove from their jobs people who actually do embrace actual fact, is an horrendous abuse of power by this administration and its co-opted DOJ.
No matter how many times Trump and his minions say it, no matter how many times the right wing blogosphere misrepresents what happened on January 6, and no matter how much you MAGA folks wish it weren't true, the actual facts of that day speak for themselves, and these two prosecutors got it right. They should be promoted, not fired.
