Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Those records are worth a pretty penny if kept in good condition. New records are $30-40 these days. Have bought my daughter several LPs. Wish I had my Dads record collection from the 60s thru 80s. I definitely wouldnt sell them.

I still have my entire album collection, some cassettes and even a few 8 track tapes in storage. Geez ... I’m old.

That top video is ONLY our offense. Primarily our Oline. Brooks was a Div2 scholarship Olineman thru college. He is great at diagramming plays and explaining techniques.

Our Guards look LOST pretty regularly. Not just Sham who has struggled all season. Moe doesnt block the right guy either sometimes. Perry moving permanently to starting Guard and benching Sham will help IMO. Perry is still spelling Sanders some at Tackle too. Sanders is already a BEAST. Bet we dont get to keep him all 4 years. He will be a projected 1st rounder after his junior year IMO. Maybe we pay him so well that he stays to try and win a Chip at UT. He is gonna be 1st team All SEC probably next year as a sophomore. We signed a couple bigtime Oline players in this 2026 class too...and it looks like Perry and Sanders will be longterm starters.

First music I ever bought besides albums. Many many moons ago.
I was around, but I wasn’t old enough yet to be buying anything when 8 tracks were a thing. Albums were the thing when I first started buying music. Used to listen to 8 tracks in my aunt’s car though.

First album I bought for myself. 8 track Aerosmith Toys in the Attic

I think the first cassette I ever bought was Appetite for Destruction by GnR. Remember buying Lies and Use your illusion1 and 2 double album as well. The majority of my first 20 casettes were Pink Floyd though. Remember buying "Straight Outta Compton" by NWA on cassette 3 different times because my mom would always throw it away when she found it. 😆.

Props to the random dudes who worked at the record store for selling me Lies and Straight outta repeatedly despite the "explicit" label on both which meant you were supposed to be 16 or 18 to purchase them? "Lies" by GnR had bare boobs pics inside the insert. Definitely the first thing I ever owned with boobs on it as a 13yo kid haha. Its funny the things you remember. I havent intentionally listened to GnR in 30 years for sure but they objectively made some bangers IMO. Sweet Child, Welcome to Jungle, Mr.Brownstone, Paradise City, all on Appetite. There were some good tracks on their next 2 albums here and there. I have never heard a single song from them since the double album, but do respect Slash as a guitar player.

I admittedly still listen to old Metallica occasionally from Ride the Lightning up to the Black Album. For whom the Bell tolls, Sad but True, One, etc before they went sissie.

The first car I bought myself had an 8 track player in it.
