Loads of interest in Heupel/Golesh is a GOOD thing

LK has been at OM for 6 full seasons. 72% winning percentage. One top 10 finish. Zero playoff births. Good shot he makes it this year.

JH has completed 4 full seasons for us. 71% winning percentage. 2 top ten finishes. One playoff birth. Still has a chance to make it this year. Took over a far worse situation with scholly reductions and a very dark NCAA cloud over the programs head.
Where did I compare the two? What’s this about?

I just said JH won’t be a candidate for one of those major jobs.

we are not even done with the season and already Josh Heupel and Alex Golesh are being targeted by multiple teams to fill open spots. this is the firat time in 16 years anyone else in the country has given a sh!t about a Tennessee coach. let that sink in and realize this is a good problem.

to be clear I don't expect Heupel to go anywhere. but always remember that if nobody else is interested in your coach the. you shouldn't be either!

And I'm simply pointing out that I think you are wrong based on their resumes.
Having a better resume doesn’t make one a candidate for a job. Also, to be a candidate you’d have to want to be a candidate. Kiffin always wants to be a candidate. Part of Kiffin’s appeal to schools isnt just the resume, it’s that he’s the media darling, engaging, appeals to the fans, etc etc. It’s not a knock on Heupel tobsay he’s not a candidate at LSU, etc.

It's only a good thing if you are a coach or a coach's agent. Otherwise, it's just driving up coaching salaries for all schools.

Where did I say it wasn’t?
He’s not going to be a candidate there.
He is on their hot board. He won't be a candidate only if his agent indicates he is not interested. He won't be interested. Otherwise he very much would be a candidate. Look at where he is rated on so many coach evaluations. The turn around he created here is noticeable and overcomes all flaws people on this board may find.

How do you know he’s on their hot board? Media types speculate and then click bait sites have this stuff out there. I seriously dont think for a second he’s even on their radar as a first tier candidate. They’re going to go for someone with a little more of a championship pedigree(or one who has played for them) first.
Writers make up hot boards, and it’s pure speculation evacuee they’ve got to wrote about it. Far from him being on their hot board.

Horns Daily is saying that LSU is coming after Heupel. May be trash, but the dust is swirling. At this point, with 10 or more openings available, anything is possible.
A good friend of mine played at LSU and is a big money contributor to the program. He has said that the money will be offered to just a few big name coaches and CJH is one of them. I think it’s a long shot at best but they don’t want to miss on the next coach and are willing to pay for a sure thing.

Who would be on their board with a Championship pedigree?

We will find out , but I’m not going to believe what some random writer puts out there as a guess. Im sure they’re going to shoot very high and call guys like Saban and probably get shot down and go from there. Heupel hasn’t done enough to be a first tier candidate there and they certainly aren’t going to pay him over $10 million.

I think only way that would happen is if they hired White as Ad, then Hype would follow
