You have to wonder if at this point, he'll be anywhere close to form when he comes back.
People act like this is an Xbox player coming back to play after injury. He hasn’t been in pads to practice, hit or been hit or taken on blockers or tackled in 10 months. He’s not the 6 million dollar man with robotic parts

He won’t. Form comes about going through August practice and maintaining that through the season. If he gets a chance to help, that will be a plus but be surprised if he is what we saw last year. No contact since last December makes that difficult

So we are down McCoy, Gibson and now Hood.

I mean, I agree. That's why I put it out there. People need to temper their expectations of him. It would be extraordinary indeed if he was anywhere near what he was.

I agree. It's heroic of him to try and come back and help the team.

Schrödinger's McCoy: simultaneously a 1st round draft pick but not good enough when he does come back.
