Jermod McCoy Possible Return Rumors.

As of the week of ARK he had not practiced with the team. This is coming from a reliable source at all the practices.

If he starts actively practicing then I will get excited, at this time I am not counting on seeing him this year. That begs the question if he goes straight to the draft too.
He gone

From what I've gathered he was suppose to come back vs Arkansas but had swelling issues (not confirmed but multiple people have said this)
From what I've gathered now they are planning for him to come back for the Florida game, this also gives him wiggle room to play 4 games and redshirt if needed.
For those asking why he would need a redshirt, he might not, but if he heals slower and his draft stock falls it might be a better choice to come back and also have two seasons. Injuries are weird sometimes and having two extra seasons is better than one and the best option for him.
(I can't confirm any of this with 100% certainty, but it makes sense)
He could play 4 regular season games and the playoffs don't count and he can start this Oklahoma game.

Ohhhh my friend… we’ll boost that number right up there for them.

No problem.
Yeah. I get it. Doesn't change the fact that we're likely to score more points. Only one of these two teams has the #1 offense in the country scoring 46 points per game. And only one of them is playing at home in one of the hostile environments in all sports. Keep hand wringing if y'all want. I'm going to enjoy this game

34...in Norman though. The more I look into Oklahoma's defense it makes me wonder if they're truly legit or if they just haven't played anyone of note.
They haven't played any good offenses.

Michigan - 52nd total offense
Temple - 66th
Auburn - 105th
Kent state - 132nd
Texas - 78th
South Carolina - 125th
Ole miss - 10th

Meanwhile the offenses Tennessee has played (excluding ETSU)

cuse - 62nd
UGA - 37th
UAB - 47th
MSU - 54th
Arky - 7th
Alabama - 53rd
Kentucky - 91st

Plus when we played Syracuse they still had a functional offense. They'd probably be better than 62nd if Angeli was starting for the whole season.

If he can't show that he's healed by the end of the season, he's going to leave big money on the table. He's better off not playing this year, sitting out the draft, and playing next year. With the NIL, it's not like he isn't getting paid for sitting. Any money he misses in the NFL next season would be offset quickly by a higher contract value after he shows he's 100%.
A good run is better than a bad stand.
The only reason he would leave money on the table is if he can't participate in the combine or puts up slow numbers showing he hasn't healed. There's already plenty of tape on him showing what he can do.

If he goes to the combine and has good 40, shuttle, ect he may be the first db off the board. He's still being talked about as one of the top dbs in the country going into the draft.

Breaking news? He’s been working. Never stopped. Somebody got excited because he’s in pads.
That’s a palm reader headline.
Like McCoy or anybody is gonna say he’s working his ass off to not try to play.
“McCoy working to try to play and hoping for no setbacks”. No ****. Coulda posted in the recovery room.
